It is a lot faster core speed. Bulldozer doesnt start seeing great results till around 5GHz in speed, so the closer to that mark the better. The 8120 can use its turbo core speed to overclock automatically up to 4GHz, but only when 2 cores or less are active and it isnt constrained by heat and power consumption, otherwise it only runs at 3.1GHz. The 6200 has a base speed of 3.8GHz as its minimum and can turbo core up to 4.1GHz when 2 or less cores are active. Becuase of the 2 less cores it also generates less heat and uses less power, so it makes overclocking easier. Although you wont be able to overclock either of them past their defaults on the stock cooler. As for the TV, it has much higher input lag than a monitor which lowers your response time. Most TVs have between 30-60ms of lag from the combination of input lag + panel response time + refresh rate. A standard computer monitor in comparison will have between 10-20ms of lag time, and special gaming monitors stripped down to nothing can have as low as 5ms lag time. The reason you can do good in CS: Source is because everyone sucks at that game and it is easy to win
If you buy it today, you can get this nice looking tower for cheap: http://www.newegg.com/Special/ShellShocker.aspx?cm_sp=ShellShocker-_-11-146-083-_-07232012_4
Army doesn't pay overtime, looks like I'm going to need to mow some neighbor's lawns. I already bought a bad ass Jeep a couple months ago, I'm on the shit list.
And here is my new rig assembled. First time boot was flawless and so far everything is running great. I'm quite sure I'll need to upgrade the CPU cooler at some point though. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/228/img4014b.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/651/img4017k.jpg/
Hey, sweet build! and yes, these things are like kryptonite to wives. Two things. Get a background or screensaver that is a picture of you and her on your wedding day or some anniversary or a picture of your kid. And make damn sure she sees it. Doesnt have to stay on forever, but it definitely humanizes and personalizes these things for most women. You know.... even though you spent this months army housing allowance on it, you still care about the family. two: a build tip: you know those extra wires you have attached to the door of the case? Let a little more slack out and coil the wire along the shaft of a screwdriver. Make it really tight and hold it for a few moments. Voila! instant coiled wire that looks great, takes no time, and stays put (and out of the way of fans) when you close the case, but has some stretch and give when you open it! Just an idea to clean up an otherwise great build!
That's a brilliant idea, I've got to go back inside anyways. I forgot to provide power to my side fan controllers.
