in this game it is fregin hard. Face rages every 10 seconds. 5 more than BFBC2, but still. We play in the BFBC2 channel, drop by if you want to hang out.
not sure how much skill this game will take...its not a hardcore simulation like battlefield europe.. but not being hardcore it may appeal to more people. Now to DL it again...got a bad file the last DL.
its a lot less skill based and more gear based. BT2s and Bison mortars are about the only thing people have started using. Use anything else and you will either get one shot or ran around in circles while they widdle you down. Since targetting is a bit lame its almost impossible to hit anyone at point blank...
Will be downloading it tonight maybe once my internet is sorted out. Same opinion as doctorie to be honest, don't know what to expect! I'm used to hiding in the bushes with a Sherman 76 waiting to try and outflank a Tiger...
I dont like the fact that you can use cash to buy much better ammo that is unattainable with in game currency
I don't think anyone intends to play this when it comes out, so for beta I don't think the cash for gold thing is of importance atm. The game is very lame but, very fun at the same time. If accuracy was increased and they balanced the tanks a bit better then it might actually be a good game.
I think for Closed Beta this game is on the right track. I could see XoO playing this, possibly supported, IF the micro transactions don't play a huge part of this game. There is still a lot more to this game. I have been part of some Closed Betas which were much worse than this.... Global Agenda :drunk:.
Global Agenda closed beta was horrible and it never got any better. Currently Word of Tanks is very basic and has been implemented well. The Devs have very good ideas and it costs the players nothing to try it out; I will be checking it out.
Global agenda had one of the worst betas ive ever seen, it didn't improve on launch either. Its only just now started to improve months and months after release. WoT has really addictive gameplay and the more you play it and get into the mechanics the more you realize its actually well done. That being said the US servers are up now and the game will be undergoing a soft wipe soon for the next big patch that adds a better autobalancing system and features like squads, new tanks, new maps, etc.
I'm just trying to figure out how you guys think GA was worse besides just saying it was worse. It was by far no where near a terrible beta or even alpha. Unless you were just plain bad at it and never did either one or ever done a different FPS beta. *cough* MoH *cough* WoTs is about who has the bigger tanks and thats pretty much it. Shooting can be done auto(makes it easy). Once you figure out where to hide and where everyone hides and the paths they take its just another really slow FPS. on a t6 tank destroyer and its pretty much the same from t1. Save up til you get a bad ass gun then destroy people who are a teir lower than you. Yes theres "teamwork" but if both teams are using it, it is guaranteed the match will turn into whos camping the most.
Maybe you weren't active on the beta forums to see the pages upon pages of "known issues" in the beta. Massive technical problems and gameplay bugs such as ducking underneath the shields before a match started. If you honestly think GA was a decent beta perhaps it is you that lacks experience in FPS betas? I have been in over a dozen thus far and none was quite as broken or lackluster as GA
Sounds like this is as annoying as POTBS was then, i really hated the 30 minute fights because of all the tacking you had to do to get in to a position to fire your cannon.
strange. since i was in it since alpha and on the forums every day helping them fix the game. Seeing as that's how I was able to get the 40 man guild invite. I didn't see anything but the typical with technical problems, or class balance issues over the long run(which kyoji and I tested down to the last nut and bolt for them). The only game breaker that was out there you mentioned and they fixed that with the second beta patch. You may have been in over a dozen but it doesn't sound like you even played the game but one day then threw a hissy fit and uninstalled. Which leaves the rest of your "experience" in question. Let alone there hasn't been a dozen fps games to come out.
reminds me of anyway. I didn't have problems with the GA beta, or much of GA in general. It was good for what it was. Like a lot of games that have interested me lately, it just didn't have the large audience to keep the inside interesting. I also haven't played since the big patch though.
