Wildstar has open world PvP I may be interested. Nothing else to do at the moment anyway I guess.

It has 40 man PvP sieges. Doubtfully much open world pvp at the start other than random shit.

There will be no world pvp if there is no incentive such is the nature of MMOs. World of Warcraft has had pvp servers since the dawn of man, but that doesn't make it an open world pvp game (after battlegrounds was added).

there are some "raid" PvP here and there..... well idk about know but when I tried the game during BC launch people raided the towns and PvP. I wish games would kinda have RFO style of opwn world PvP a bit and improve on that or old school L2 minus the losing your items

They can do it like EQ2 did it with Nagafen.

Honestly it was mass PVP just for the heck of killing the opposition but it was helluva fun. U had PVP rewards as well (like points n tokens and all), don't really need much more than this. It's killing for the fun of it and it works well :D true tho that EQ2 had no battleground, so they have to work a good incentive maybe.

To be honest, I am just waiting and watching. 40 man organized PvP raids sounds like a blast but I don't have the time to commit to 4-5hrs of gameplay in a single sitting anymore. WoW is offering two pvp modes and my Camelot Unchained is already paid for when it releases in 2015ish. Wildstar is good but it is a homage to time I don't have.

If you need a reason or incentive to PvP you are not a PvPer. My incentive is to make the other person rage/cry or otherwise feel bad in some way which often works when you kill them while they are gathering fairy flowers. It may not be the most hardcore PvP where you have full or even partial loot (we do not know the details yet), but the reason I kill someone even then isn't to get their loot, but for them to lose it. Any true PvP player would agree.

I doubt that u have loot at all.

    Kyoji u cookie stealer :p

But yeah, EQ2/Nagafen was awesome u could attack and get attacked at any time, hell, i remember fighting half a hour sometimes just to enter some dungeon zones because everything was contested !!!

*cough* TERA was like this but the player base QQed and now you can port to the instance from any where which the instance match maker*cough* At least in AION not sure about now but when they added the instance match maker you had to travel to the instance to Que up and could still be attacked

To me its really the player base killing MMO's bc they want a game like WoW but not like WoW at the same time, they also want everything to be handed to them and not work for anything. This is one reason I think some games stick with horrible RNG drop rate since its easy to kill said boss lets make it the rates crap

Hm, no matter what they do, they'll never have shit rates like in EQ1 or, even, L2... That was plain ridiculous. 3 weeks camping a FBSS back in the days in EQ it just didn't drop. And that wasn't even a dungeon run, just a mob.
