Vincente Valtieri is an NPC is Oblivion. I thought the name was awesome so I used it in other games.

Saraphin was random in guild wars. I created a Ele and typed Sara as the name. I thought it was too plain and added more letters.

Valindria is the char name I have used since the first NWN.

I only read this opening post, so not sure if anyone has said this, but I thought you were just a big University of Texas fan. Head coach: Mack Brown. Star Quarterback: Colt McCoy.

I've usually named my characters off of general names I've liked or slightly obscure historical people or games. My old wow main is named Kayte - as in Katie and the new main is named Subudei, as in Genghis Khan's best general. I also have a Muqali, another of Genghis Khan's best. I dip into the Romance of the Three Kingdom's for names, as I'll use Jiang Wei or Guan Xing alot, a long time nickname has been Guan based on the Guan family name. Guanzilla as being a "monster" form of Guan and Guantis as being more of a super hero version.

I also like Naruto and have used a couple characters from that as my in game character names, like Zaku or Kin. My roommate's main is named Dosu, the 3rd member of that Naruto cell.

I used to be Taarm Kaast which was a random name generated from KotOR. I used it in SWG and WoW.

s o k a r was my console name. A friend of mine is Anubis(goes by TrueSanguinius now though) which are both Egyptian gods. Since WAR I've been using sokar. He's the reincarnation of Osiris which is thought to be from "sy ki ri" which ment "come to me" when he died and called out to his family.

I got all my mmo names from the Devine Comedy

    I use:
    Antaus
    Antenor (sometimes Antenora)
    Malacoda
    Judecca
    Caina
    and Ptolemy (sometimes Ptolemaea)

Antaeus in Greek mythology was a giant of Libya, the son of Poseidon and Gaia, whose wife was Tinjis. He was extremely strong as long as he remained in contact with the ground (his mother earth), but once lifted into the air he became as weak as other men. He would challenge all passers-by to wrestling matches, kill them, and collect their skulls, so that he might one day build out of them a temple to his father Poseidon. Heracles, finding that he could not beat Antaeus by throwing him to the ground, as he would regain his strength and be fortified, discovered the secret of his power (touching the ground) and held Antaeus aloft and crushed him in a bearhug (Apollodorus ii. 5; Hyginus, Fab. 31). The story of Antaeus has been used as a symbol of the spiritual strength which accrues when one rests one's faith on the immediate fact of things. The struggle between Antaeus and Heracles is a favorite subject in ancient sculpture.

Alchemda is what I usually use, I picked it for the launch of DAoC. It sounded very Role Play since it was kinda like Alchemy. It's stuck ever since. Sometimes i use the phonetic Alkemdah since people sometimes think the ch is like chinese rather than chemical.

Some other names I use are some names that I just threw together from syllables that sounded cool to me. Usually I'll start with a phonetic, and then randomly think of another and another till it sounds neat.

Roehiin <-- thought it sounded RP for a Bear Shaman in AOC
Jolandar <-- another random RP name I made
Deseriah <-- cool chick RP name I thought of
    Deserin <-- Alternate for Deseriah
Roerandir <-- Conquerer from AOC, another random name
Chronic Enigma <-- Denotation is never ending/ongoing puzzle or mystery, mostly use this for FPS's but people seem to always think it's related to pot lol.
Dulcama <-- Random name used in various MMOs, started as my infy in DAoC
Alijundo <-- Used for Eve that I made

So all in all, its just random stuff with no back story or anything like that. I've found that this way I have highest chance of getting my name on the server and doesn't infringe on any copyrights or TOS type stuff and can be Roleplayed however I want.

Klocknov comes from the last name of a best friend of mine that has taken the next great adventure. I use this name as a memento to remember all the times we had fun playing games together and all the other times we shared. I chose the name in the end for I wanted a deeper meaning behind my gaming name, and I figured this would be a well suited area there. I don't know if there is a major meaning to the last name, but from what I'm told it is of Russian descent (so if anyone knows could they PM me).

Before this I used the name Anewbassy most the times followed by 22, Anewbassy really has no meaning, it was back from my Starcraft days of one of the many accounts I had and ended up being the name to stick. I used Anewbassy for a good 3-4 years before I switched to my current which I have now been using about 6 years. Also I have my FPS tag Lunatic, was going to be Kamikaze but my friend was using it at that time so I chose this. Lunatic has grown slowly to a less common use.

Also my many Guild Wars first names come from various places as well as two being close friends that have passed away or they are just utter non-sense for PvP.

(Side Note: I have been using the current for a longer time then the person has been gone)

    Right here:

    http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/cc/20021121d

Was learning D&D at the time and found that character sheet, thought it was pretty cool. At one point, I had to come up with a username for some site and Samakar was the first word that came to my mind.

It's my permanent name on the internet now, and I love it.

Mine is simple; it's just heaven spelt backwards. I heard it on a movie once and really liked it. I also thought since Nastrand's name is evil mine should be good. :)

My main name From Lineage II was FrozenStrawberry which I actually have tattooed on me
Due to the fact that alot of games only allow so many Characters I can't always get that name it was a nick name stemming from my allergic reaction to fresh strawberries frozen ones don't seem to effect me the same way found that out first time I had a mixed drink. Chick called me FrozenStrawberry and I liked it :)
The Various other names I have had in the past usually match my "you have a dirty mind" personality or my pvp addiction. Old names ( PinkofPkINC, Aiyoku, Sokushisuru, LoveKitten, ElfenLied, Trivium, Schizophrenia, StrawberryCream, AdultRP, UrikoWerechimera, YuriLestai) and those are just a few of my nicks.

For Aion if it isn't taken I'll try for this one heres the two reasons
    1. Baby-Dolls reference to a doll a type of toy that resembles a child baby-doll
    2. Babydoll :A Babydoll is a short nightgown or negligee intended as nightwear, often with matching panties.*(optional) It commonly consists of formed cups from which a loose-fitting skirt falls somewhere between the hips and the belly button.

and as a funny tid bit... BabyDoll is also a Batman Villian :p but don't worry I'm not carrying a toy with a hidden gun ^.^
