Back through elementary and high school, I was an artist. I used to draw all the time and needed a "pen name" for my work. I picked "Rubius" since I would watch Sailor Moon as part of my lineup of cartoons, and Rubius was the most badass character in that show.

The name stuck to being my email and online name when I got a PC. It's been over 10 years.

As for "Valkiris", it's a derivative of Valkyrie and just something I came up for whenever I play a female character as Rubius doesn't fit.

Started out in UO as Taran because I had read the Taran Wanderer books a few months before.

Started playing EQ after my brothers showed it to me, told me to come up with a name that wasn't stupid and sounded like something a dwarf would be called since I was making a dwarf warrior...

So I came up with Denmer Thordoff, use it in pretty much every game I play now. They still didn't like the name, but I did so meh.

I saw this sign on I-15 between NV and CA. THought that was a different name.

Later when I started playing GW I added the "nomad" portion. And in the past year or so have transitioned to "Nomad" as my main handle because I got sick of explaining where the name came from and "Nomad " is much easier to remember.

That road is like crazy long and in the middle of nowhere. When I saw your name I was instantly familiar as I've made the trek from SoCal to Vegas.

As for my name... I used to name hop a shitload when I played CS (things like: Vash the Stampede, El Pinto Grande, Fire in Your Hole!). I changed it to EPIC and ended up joining a clan and that sorta made it stick.

Used to use the name Recoil back when i first started playing online games - CoD1 and Cod2. Was playing in RFO and ended up with Eskara as i was playing a female toon that was forced to have a name change. i cant remember where it came from though. Still use it now in CoD4 although i sometimes shorten it to just Esk-

I guessed that where the your name came from xD having seen the series a while ago.

GunGraver - Back in 2000 I was in love with GunGrave and around that time I started to sniff around the internet for things to entertain myself with. Found a forum, and made a forum name. I have used it for character names before but try not to do it as it does not sound very game charactery. So it usually ends up being my forum name.

Azo (ay-zo) - Back around 2000 I played my first roleplaying heavy game I needed a cool character name that I liked. I smack my keyboard for 5-10m before I put these three letters together. A(beginning) z(ending) o(middleish) of the alphabet. These three letters also complimented each other in size and they were not hard to read. Which meant it was easy to remember and read. The character was a Close Combat Elemental User and he was a pretty decent fighter :). I try to use it in every game but most have a 4 letter minimum so I end up using GunGraver or I pull a name from my alt name list xD

Been using these two names very frequently since i was about 10 years old jeez o_o

Back in EQ was making a new character... I asked some girl in the guild that I was in what I should call myself.. She came up with Burnt Toast.. at first I thought it was stupid and didn't want to use it at all.. Now I use it for everything. Even wanted to get a tattoo of it ..

I've shortened it down for some things to t0aster.. but for FPS games or games can have first and last name I'll use full name..

Other names I've used Lucky Charms and if I'm playing a chick character in a game.. I use Allysin Chaynes. Ugly pornstar but love the name.

haha well Fikusan originated from my RTCW name Fusae... (i know this is a long stretch and it might be hard to see)... Fusae originated from this drink called Fuze, which for some reason i was drinking when i started playing RTCW which was 9 years ago... how i got some of my other names... shall and always will remain a mystery xD

    SWKOTOR Random name gen.

Umgala stuck after my cousin and myself started playing CoD1, and couldn't think of anything better. Since, you may hear "Um" or "Gala" or "UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA".

I researched it and its actually an African country too. Way too many people mispronounce it. Its Um like Yum, and Gala like, well not gay-la.

Back in EQ I fell in love with the iksar race which was reptiles and they always had S's in there name and I like killing things so I made Slares, I also run with Ofaiw which is just a random name gen name that ive kept around. Xoshaiz I really have no idea how I came up with it but i like it. Oh and Kaizan cause its the name i was given in my German class in highschool. If i have to have a last name in games its usually DeCrie which is just random or Venomblood because i was one part of a guild named Venom Brood.

I got mine from the War of the Spider Queen series of books. Ryld Argith was taken when I wanted to create my GW character so Baenre was the next best one. I also have a character in there called Phaeraun Mizzrym who is also frm the same series and Montolio the Brave from another series in the Forgotten realms woritten by R.A Salvatore. I don't even know where SGT TEMPEST came from. I started using it when the first xbox was releaased and I was playing xbox live. It just sounded right.
