It may be true that this could turn out to be a fairly well-populated filler game. It may also be true that it could turn into a successful division. So far there have been 14 people who are more or less committed to playing the game: Spoiler In order of appearance in this thread: 01. Kyoji 02. PersonalRiot 03. Regis 04. trancet 05. Ravinis 06. Maniach 07. Areli 08. SakurabaKazushi 09. kharma 10. Tzepic 11. Gankfest 12. decoyninja 13. Erock 14. Retsah There have also been 6 people who expressed interest in the game: Spoiler Also in the same order: 01. Xpunga 02. Vangelis 03. Zechs 04. FriendlyFire 05. haibane 06. TwilightAngel I'm also going, to at the very least, try to get into it and so is one of my friends, so you can add the two of us to the first list. We already have 22 potential members, of whom I know that one has led a (successful?) division in the past -- Kyoji. I know that he can't lead the division due to his current position in XoO, however he could potentially offer advice to whomever steps up to lead. I wonder -- if it doesn't turn into a supported division, but becomes successful anyway, will it be possible to initiate some of the better recruits into XoO. And if yes, who'll handle their applications.
Sorry; I might not have been clear on my initial post (linked below). The key word is hope. Xen doesn't particularly have the membership base for kMMOs anymore after most of the Aion/Tera/RF Online players left or disappeared over time. We were lucky to form a FF14 division with the help and numbers that Owainn brought in when it first started. That was done mostly through merging with a group of already active and dedicated players. Most of Xen now is comprised of Planetside 2 players (nothing wrong with that; I myself played Planetside 1) who venn diagram of gaming likely doesn't have Archage in the center. Along with players who are focused on Star Citizen. But truth be told; we never had a large membership base for any of those games (eastern games). We always ran small squad operations and most people loved it. As for as I know the new division requirements are fairly opposed to small XoO guilds which I mentioned is fine. Just excited to play. If I get to party up with some Xoobies at the same time. Even better. Edit: To be fair, I don't think I would enjoy being in a large division like the current status quo. Thought it tapers off anyways I guess.
I will lead the game if needed. Also the only current division we really have is PS2. Star Citizen is a year away from release and the DFM seems to have been pushed back or delayed. The DFM doesn't seem like it would be something that could hold my interest till release so ArcheAge would be a great game to get into during the time difference. Even still I think ArcheAge and games like it could easily hold their own against a space sim game. The question is whether we want to get into the game, wait for Black Desert or another similar game or just pass on it. During the meeting I will go into an honest review of the game based on reviews I have found discussing the KR version. Granted some may change with the US version it at least gives you an idea of what to expect. Also I would like to point out that it would be healthy for us to get into at least one other game so we can build back up our recruitment base. I would recommend no one buying the game unless you are dead set on playing it until the meeting later tomorrow.
oh my lordy ... went on break at work than actually had customers drive home and this forum blew the f up ... I bought it ... Ill be on teamseapk all night . weekend give or take some drinking hours with some m8's for NHL playoffs ... So hate me or love me Ill be on !!!
Sure, it's possible to pay the exorbitant alpha-access fee, but it's also possible to sign up to the beta for free -- all you have to do is scroll down to the very end of the official page and register.
Well yeah that is true. I guess it depends on how much extra money you have and how bored you are. =P I myself am low on funds so it will be a week before I can buy sadly. Sad badger is sad.
So my experience has been amazing so far I am now lvl 23 ( same as I am on ESO release if that goes to show you my enjoyment ) It feels like a mix of old school UO / SWG / WOW super hybrid ... some of it is still bugged but it is so far a ton of fun for me ( which has really not happen in years for a MMO ) I am enjoying myself and if anyone else has alpha let me know ... I do not know a whole lot about the game but I can help out with any questions that I have figured out
Still undecided. We'll probably decide that (among other things) during the first meeting in the middle of next month.
Logical. I've got a ton of experience playing the KR CBT and retail, so I'd be happy to answer any questions that maybe google cant. This might help newer people as well: LINK
CHAN!!! come play archeage with me and misty. We don't have senrai and kyu, but a lot of us still float around waiting for RF2 (joke)
