The last paragraph seems to indicate they already have their mind set with a two-fraction system. >.< I signed the petition as well, as I believe they need to be different and move away from a two-fraction system and spice it up.
I understand how people feel about it, but I just don't see how it can be taken as an absolute that they are planning on a 2 faction style. Eldar, Tau and Imperium are all for 'order' but have differing ideologies and methods of acheiving it (like the singular destruction or assimilation of all other races). Just because they oppose something does not mean they will stop killing each other.
Hey guys sorry I've been inactive for a few days. Been drooling over E3 and I don't have internet at my house. But it looks like you guys found the petition me and few fanboys started in warhammer40konline.net forums lol. I added some Facebook groups and other stuff to first post for you guys to look at. We could all be over reacting and vigil could know that we want more then 2 factions. Lots of interviewers have tried pushing the question about the factions so if Vigil doesn't know about this then they must be pretty blind to this lol. I have high hopes atm though even if they weren't originally planning it they will definitely think twice now.
LOL when it first came out I had it running over and over again. Pausing it and looking for new races or any kind of Easter eggs XD when the German game expo starts there will be lots of new material from what I heard. There's also Comic Con but I don't think we'll get much from that.
heh, theyll have to tone the setting down alot to get a M. though, ill bet any money they are going for T.
They have already stated they do not want a mature rating. They are spending way to much money on this game to narrow their player base by that much. But we should have the brutal gameplay of Space Marines to make up for that.
honestly, i have hard time imagining the Black Templars attitude translated into something you could call 'rated Teen', they are fanatically hateful and genocidal on good days...
DAoC and Rising Force were pretty close to getting the faction thing right. Had FFXI had some "real" PvP (I know it wasn't made to be that) but choosing your hometown/city but any race could join would be another interesting way to do factions (in general) - not by race, but by who you aligned with. Of course, this wouldn't really work in 40k. 1v1v1v1 would kinda work, like Dawn of War style (not RTS obv.). Even 1v1v1 DAoC style. /Shrug, will just have to wait and see.
Even if that is so, they did mention that they don't need 1 million subs to be profitable. This most they've spent so far from last I heard is 45 million USD. I wonder what exactly they did with that but from what I understand these last 2.5 years that they've been developing have been more focused on scenery and fluff then anything else. This is straight from Joe's mouth, the only reason they showed the trailer was because they wanted people to see the "visuals" which is the only thing they have done atm. I'm assuming real gameplay development and features started not to long ago. I really hope that Joe has his head in the right direction. Darksiders was rated M so I'm sure they aren't shy to make this a M rating game and they mentioned that they are fans of 40k but we've heard that story before.
I really think they are doing a good job even without an M rating. The cinematic itself captured what WH40k is about and had a dark gothic feel to it.
The only difference between a T and M rating is the blood and cussen xD. Mythic's WAR has a T rating and they still managed to get in a lot of demon boobs lol. And sexual inuendos "Sigmar's sizzling sausage" is my favourite treat.
I haven't been to LV in a bit, but I thought there was still some boobage. Nice page, like the artwork.
