I think we were rebels in SWG so it might be cool to continue down that road ;) (republic)

i think if i can ill try to stay as a neutral jedi. republic. but i want to have kinds and sex and gamble.

    things not very jedi like.

but i never understand completly the hole sith mentality, about ruling the world, backstab every one and expect to be backstabed, kill small children, and stuff like that.

man i realy hated episode 3. the hole Anakin change to the dark side was the most morronic thing ever.and in top of that i hate the actor.

back to topic. i think you can be more stuff than a jedi. thast why i want to be a mandelorian merc.

i still need to read up on the old republic forums but the only way to be neutral is to go a non - jedi class from what ive been told. So a bounty hunter or smuggler can work for bothe the republic and empire but a force user has to pick a side. SO no gray knights as they are called i think unfortunately... I think anyway, i need to read up on the forums like i say and i guess really nothing is set in stone for the game yet.

You mean episode 3? It was the actor 100% that ruined the role in both movies. I dunno what happened or how he got chosen for Anakin, but yes. He ruined everything lol.

I would also vote for Republic, as long as the developers don't favor Sith. Which I have a funny feeling they will, heheh. But we'll see when it comes out!

Kinda bummed there won't be gobs of stormtroopers to mow down like in SWG... :(

yeah, thats the power of The Force... drawing you in. you'll find that a good chunk of Yoda's lines in episode 5 aren't the way we expect him to talk if you pay attention to what doesn't stand out

I disagree that it was all the actors faults... George Lucas wrote the lines they had to say... He got lucky with ANH, didn't write ESB, and only helped with RotJ...
Most hardcore fans agree ESB is the best of the SW movies ;)

Also I think he got lucky with the chemistry with the first cast which was missing in the second cast IMO.

Just about everyone keeps saying how the evil side would be zerged by kids and such but just about every MMO Ive played Ive met TONS more immature people on the side of good. Always when running evil side I have to deal with zergs of horrible players. I just don't see the argument about who plays good and who plays evil ever hold water.

Exactly. Though I doubt anyone has played many new mmos with actual sides. The only two off the top of my head that I can think of are Warhammer(Destruction surely wasn't noob nor zerg), and WoW(Horde surely wasn't either on 99% of the servers).

EQ2 was the same way as well on the PvP server I only ever saw good side zergs. One organized group could crush the zergs easy.

I beg to differ about WAR. Destro had a ton more people and while each side had good players, overall destro had WAY more and won 90% of the time I played, but then I may just be awesome.

I would have loved to roll order if I had the chance to change it all.

something often overlooked is that Episode 4 was made first for the simple fact that it was the best stand alone story and most expected by Lucas to do well. if 1-3 would have made it 30 years ago, he would started with that story.

Yeah Destro was a huge zerg on almost all the servers, dunno where sokar was playing hehe. That's the main reason my old guild chose Order. Too bad they were a bunch of whiny noob kids. :( Destro won so much they just deteriorated into sniveling mounds of QQ. Order was definately more whiney.

More people pick bad, and good are usually whiny bitches about it. I just like to be outnumbered so the Republic would be funner I think, as far as PvP goes. The rest of the game PvE, etc will probably be more fun for the Sith.

do some research on that... and ignore what Lucas says today because he changes his story 1/2 the time. I think you will find that he actually did not have an outline for all 6 (or 9 as he sometimes claims) stories.
Old interviews with him tend to be more true, as he didn't have time to look back and change his opinions on things... (Han shooting first is a perfect example of him looking back and changing things based on his opionions of how things should have been based on today instead of when he wrote it)

The only stuff I tend to belive these days is that he wanted to create more then was technically possiable, because I remember the interviews with the FX people and they would say they had to invent new ways to do things because what he wanted in the movie wasn't done yet by anyone else... so some of the special effects adjustements he made I figure are probably close to what he wanted back then as well... but plot changes and midiclorines I think are him changing his mind on things years later.

I think what Lucas had was a bunch of "character development" and such that created mini back stories that maybe hinted at what the final product might be, but look at the novels, all of which were approved by Lucas Arts... too many conflicts were approved which leads me to believe Lucas didn't know what would be in the first 3 stories.

But again I think it would be cool to go republic as we were rebels in SWG, and also we have been picking the "badies" so to speak in the last few MMOs... It might be time to take on the cause of the greater good ;)

Yeah I agree 100%, I have an old Star Wars Encyclopedia (official mind you) that came out just a few years before Episode I. It completely destroys the plots of Episodes 1-3. Hehe. Also, I remember reading a novel or two that seemed to disagree with Episodes 1-3 as well.

Anyways, Lucas obviously only had a vague idea for the backstory, because he completely contradicted everything he had previously approved when he wrote 1-3. Either that, or he is the richest prostitute on the planet.

Either way he just ends up being a big jackass. :p

honestly, i've always hoped they'd pick up the thrawn trilogy instead of whatever else they had for 7-9... i've not read that many of the BBY novels in the star wars universe, but i can only recall one afterward that contradicts ep 1-3.
