star wars the old republic beta sign up has begun

I applied for it cant wait til they say something..

 

If anyone is having trouble making a NEW account on the site, try saying you are not interested in the beta when you make your account, and then go to your account page after you verify you account and change it to YES you are interested and then you can finish the Beta app. I had this issue when making an account for my GF.

 

wow this is by far the wost website I have ever dealt with...
I am submitting my info over and over and it's not working... and the scan comes up with 2.5gb ram instead of 4 and also shows Logitech Mic (Pro 9000) as my sound card lol... which is my headphones not my sound card which is a soundblaster...

when I go back to my account though it does say "complete" twice for the sign up (once for contact and once for system specs) so I guess it worked... but wow... what a mess.. it still wanted to loop me through filling things out...

 

it showed mine as 3 gigs ram instead of 4...

 

yeah, seems they tweaked their scan.. now it works for me.

however, it scanned 1.3gigs less ram, claims that my video codecs IS my sound card, and technically got my OS wrong.

shoulda used dxdiag imo :x

 

Star Wars: The Old Republic looks like a pretty sweet game. I might have to try it.

yeah, they're just using semantics to likely avoid people freaking out when they figure out the game itself isn't coming out any time soon. Then again, the actual testing could not start until a loooong time from now as various other MMO's have demonstrated in their time between signup start and testing start.

 

i think this only a stunt to know a good estimate of the poplulation of players following the game!

 

Too bad that stunt didn't work for Aion.

 

Just hope they don't pull an Open Beta stunt like Aion's "Open Beta"

 

Looking so forward to this game, i bet it wont be out till 2011 though with the limited amount of info out there...

They called it an "open beta" but it was a paid beta in reality. Such bullshit, don't call it an open beta if I have to pay money to test your fucking game.

 

I have heard some people say they have gotten thier keys...anyone know if this is true and or have gotten thiers yet

 

Why the F do I still get stuck on system scan.. Just sits and Scans forever.

Hope we can get beta invites. This is probably my next MMO to play.

I know there is no official release date yet but whats the ETA on this beast? Is it gunna make 2010 atleast?
