SSD?

    Yeah, you might be right about the OS. I should.

    Although in my case, placing the games on there will help as well, mainly because I've had my current RAID array for 5 years and the drives are starting to give away. Some of my games stutter every second, but when I move the install to another drive, or a different part of the same array, everything is fine and dandy.

    I installed BF3 the other day and some of the maps stuttered like hell, totally unplayable. I moved the install to another drive and it was a bit better, but not perfect... so I'm hoping this would help somewhat.

    I went to an Unreal2K4 LAN party two weeks ago, and my PC was loading the map last, every time. The sad thing is, some of the PCs there were stock, off the shelf PCs... where as mine was a server-size monster with light mods and all... LMAO. Luckily, no one but me noticed that I was always loading in last! It was pretty embarassing.

    Last year, my friend's water-cooled beast of a gaming PC was being beaten in load times by a stock HP desktop. It was pretty funny :D
