I was looking at different videos of the water cooling kits you guys suggested, I looked at the Swiftech H320, Swiftech H220, and the Corsair H100i. These are the videos that I watched: Swiftech H320 Swiftech H220 Corsair H100i So Far I am likeing the Swiftech models alot more because of the Copper radiator vs Aluminum on the Corsair model. The Corsair link seems needlessly complicated too, the mounting hardware on the Swiftechs seems alot better and simpler, its also upgradeable in the future in case I want to liquid cool the video card later on. Now I just need to find out what cases (with USB 3.0) are compatible with the Swiftech H320 (the one I liked the most) or the Swiftech H220 (my 2nd choice). Edit: Damn, it seems that Swiftech had to stop sales in the U.S due to patent disputes, theres only one shop in Canada that sells their products but the H320 is out of stock on their website with a 3-6 week waiting period: http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=86340 I cant wait 3-6 weeks because of the 30 day return period on Newegg orders in case the motherboard is bad or has defects.
The H320 you linked is not the actual "Swiftech H320". That is the H20-320, it has the Apogee II block with integrated MCP35x pump. The H320 is the H220 with a 320mm rad.
Edit 2: Oh I see what you meant now, yeah there seem to be different versions of the H320 for example (H20-320, H20-320 Edge)... I couldnt find a video for the regular H320 though but the difference seems to be the pump. Im in a bit of a predicament right now though... I cant buy the H320 because its not sold in the U.S and the Canada shop has it out of stock, I tried looking for it on eBay and Amazon to see if there were any 3rd parties selling it but had no luck. The other shops are in the UK and Europe but they charge like $50 more. I was looking on Newegg for other alternatives since I need a CPU cooler ASAP to get my new rig built, the alternatives dont really look as good as the Swiftech models but I guess that I will have to settle for now unless the Canada shop restocks next week.
Use the stock cooler and wait for the H320 to get in stock. I had the stock cooler on my CPU for about 2 weeks I think. It won't make a difference and you can still OC a bit if you want to. It's worth the wait. You would be silly to buy another aio kit with the swiftech models out there. Don't make the mistake of getting something else.
Yeah you guys are right, ill use the stock cooler for now until its back in stock in the Canadian shop, I dont really like the other water cooling alternatives after looking at the Swiftech models.
I was looking at videos of computer cases today, I really love the Corsair 900D here are some videos: Website: http://www.corsair.com/900d Here is an unboxing video:
I purchased the Corsair Obsidian 900D from Amazon.com because they have free shipping on it with Amazon Prime so ill get it by Wednesday and since I have the Amazon.com Visa card I get 3% cash back. Link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B1R8JT0/ It was also available on Newegg.com: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139019 but Newegg.com charges $30 shipping, they have a $20 rebate on it but it comes out to around the same price as Amazon.com after the rebate because of the shipping cost. Amazon.com also has a lower price than any other site on this case atm ($337.99 Amazon vs $349.99 + $29.99 shipping on Newegg). Newegg does have a $25 off $250 coupon right now but Amazon still comes out cheaper.
Kind of late now I suppose but did you look at caselabs? Also, I like the sound of the helix fans on the h320. Some people say typhoons are still better but I don't think the difference would be huge. I like the white blades on the helix fans.
I looked at their cases but they seem really expensive for even the most basic cases on their site, the Corsair Obsidian 900D is more of a bang for the buck IMHO.
I finished building the new PC like 2 weeks ago, its been running like a champ so far, I love how much faster it is than my old i7 920 setup. Now I just need the new video cards to come out.
