Yea, it would be a beast of an upgrade for Foxy, the EOL is why I want to get it for my mom. She's been using the same PC since 02 and it's just awful. And this should last another 6 years for her, provided it doesn't explode.
hahaha I have only had 1 part "explode" on me before. It was an ATI 4890 graphics card which already has weak voltage regulators that are near max at just stock. Then I pumped extra voltage into it and overclocked it to 1GHz on stock cooling. It ran that way 24/7 for 8 months and then one of the voltage regulators blew up on it. No damage to anything but the graphics card which was dead. That is why I bought a new GTX470 for this computer last October. It handles everything on max perfectly fine. GTX470 has been running stock the whole time as I havent been playing anything that needs any sort of overclock on the GPU. CPU has a very mild overclock as it too is plenty fast and doesnt need anything hardcore done to it. 100% stable under all testing and hasnt given a single error or bluescreen in years. RAM is at stock speeds and voltage, always has been I havent really done any seriously hardcore overclocking or overvolting since back in the socket 939 days (Pentium 4/Athlon 64 era) when I set the world record for HTT overclock speed. Motherboard died from too much stress a month after that and I decided setting an OC world record just isnt worth it and have stuck to only mild overclocks since then with the exception of the last graphics card which I already knew was a bad idea from the start. Lasted a lot longer than expected though.
