PSP:NGP one of the smallest and most powerful devices

    I enjoy my tv and also the ps3, however the damn system must have minimal amounts of ram, the loading times are ridiculous.

    Yes, it's much more powerful for the moment, but the way things are going they will catch up in about two or three years... and that's if you really need all the power the NGP gives you anyway - which you probably don't, for most games.

    Obviously you wouldn't buy a smartphone if all you wanted to do was play games on it - but I'm not sure how many people still do only want to play games, and for those that don't, the question will increasingly be whether the extra $300-400 a dedicated handheld costs is worth what you get for it over the smartphone you already have (or might have). At this stage I think the market "landscape" still favours the DS/PSP, but I'm not sure how much longer that will remain true.

    P.S. SamHamwich - yes, it does have minimal amounts of RAM - 256 MB main memory, 256 MB graphics memory.
