    yes please....although I wouldn't mind buying this either :)
i'm in, please let me know.
the more realistic the better IMO, for good or bad; so this is everything I want from a war sim...or at least heading to it.

ill be buying this game like, this week, friday at the latest. See you in game soon

  4. No it's more like CoD4, BF2, where you log on and look for servers, etc. Although there are several places that do large scale battles once a week or so.

I'm glad some people are axcited about it.
I need to get some of your addresses and send them to you now. I'm a bit concerned that you won't feel thesame way I feel about this game. It's totally amazing, BUT It's slow with a learning curve...and that kills it for alot of people. Also, gamespy seems to have the best server browser for this game.

Which is why I suggest trying the demo at least before getting the game. It takes abit to get used to some aspects of the game. At times it can be fast paced depending on what's happening, but it is a FPS game where being prone, helps alot. Did I mention no bunny hopping? :p A tight well functioning squad in this game is key, of course a lone sniper behind enemy lines who knows how to use his rifle and have a proper hide is nasty as well.

To be fair, just knowing bohemia (sp?) made this game is enough for me, i think i may have tried it at some point but cant say i have, i can see it being just like OFP but better (same people made it, and OFP was very slow learning game really).

Not too bothered if it was only us who played the game together as its alot of fun, should have the game tommorow, was hoping it would be here when i got home but nada :( surely tommorow is the day :)

If you guys get a solid group going lemme know. I'd be interested in joining. I think the game sells for $20-30 which isn't too much. (unless dash has a spare copy, but if not then it's cool).

Which version are we playing btw? Armed Assault, Combat Operations, Gold Edition, or Queen's Gambit?

I was going to try and get a server up and running this weekend. If I can find the time to do it, I will post the info in the Members General Forum.

  11. Believe the version I have and the one's Dash has to give away are normal Armed Assault combat operations.
Gold edition is normal + Queen's gambit.
Queen's Gambit is the add on they did.
I got the regular edition cause it was on sale, but I know if we go full tilt into this I can pick up the ad on eventually. It has more weapons and vehicles.

i have the gold pack (includes queens gambit) quite hard to get used to although ive been using the 1.08 patch which has issues so im lead to believe and that updating to the latest offers vast performance increases (I have a powerful machine and its slow on mine). going to check it now... alot of fun though

I have a hard time believing that there is an FPS out right now that is better than BF2.

Nishua and I tried playing that online and it was a lagfest. When we went into games individually though, there was no lag. Either way, it was impossible to play a lag-free game with a bunch of friends.

It's a decent game and I usually come first on my team when I do play.
