Yeah it is only 6 episodes for the first season but this is basically an independent series. Also they are an hour long so if they broke it up into 30min shows we would get 12 episodes which is on par with most episodes per season with most tv shows. Maybe the next season will have more than 6 episodes for the season.

Watched the first three episodes and pleased so far. I hope they don't kill off the black guy that acted in tv series Jericho :(

Why didn't he cut the pipe with the saw instead of his hand? I know he wasn't the brightest, but that pipe was thin.

The pipe didn't seem to be a pipe but a solid metal bracket holding the pipe in place. Granted he probably could have cut through that part but he had zombies busting down the door to the roof. It was probably faster to cut off his hand.

Because cutting off your hand is more dramatic, Ala Aron Ralston style whos' story can be seen in the new Daniel Boyle Movie '127 Hours'.

As far as the TV series goes, It's good enough to see the potential of how good it CAN be, and really what I was hoping it would be. It's a series about zombies so it's kind of hard to fuck that up enough to make it unwatchable. I could imagine much worse but lets be honest even the bad zombie movies are good zombie movies...In some cases a zombie movie made poorly can add to the charm enough to make it a classic. When this happens it usually has a comedic element to it.

This show however has the bad without the comedy element and I'm not sure it's working yet. It seems rushed and lacks atmosphere. The choice of actors are meh, their acting is meh(but that's ok, it is a show about zombies) and the dialogue is even worse. The camera angles could be a bit better too.

The storyline however is pretty decent and I'm excited to see where they are going with it and I'm hoping that the rest improves now that they feel secure enough with picking up a second season.

The chain in those handcuffs is high-tensile steel. It'd take you ten minutes to hack through... Now, if you're lucky, you can hack through your ankle in five minutes.

It wasn't even the cuffs themselves but the small copper pipe they were on and those are easy to chew through with a hacksaw, but like Dash said it's to be more dramatic. I guess that's why I don't care much for most movies/tv shows because they rely on the stupidity of the cast to make the plot occur.

I think the show covered why it "had to" be his hand, they said the hacksaw couldnt cut through the bar or the handcuffs because it wasnt strong enough. Still dumb but at least they tried to cover why it couldnt be done.

......it wouldn't be hard to do. You are only missing one episode if you watch it before the 4th airs tomorrow.

I would be missing the first and third episode. I'll try to get it another chance.

I hope I have not missed much though. Meaning I can watch the 4th without the other 2.

Well I can easily see why you are not interested if you had only seen the 2nd episode. That is easily my least favorite of the 3 so far. I think everyone else here would agree on that as well.

Might not have time, I'll check the 4th episode tomorrow night.

    Its 22:00 est ? Or 21:00? I can't remember. I don't turn the tube on that much.

definitely agree. Sog you can watch the first episode straight on the AMC website I believe. and as I posted before, AMC lists a schedule of re-runs throughout the week. sorry, if I had noticed this thread sooner, maybe you could have watched episode 1 off the website, and episode 3 on AMC tonight / tomorrow - Nov 21 1am (EST I believe) - hell if you notice in time DVR the one this AM and watch em all tomorrow.
