Asus V Gene mobo has an auto OC feature. If you install asus suit, there should be an option to auto OC. From what i've heard it's pretty good.
It does, its called "CPU Level Up" and can be clocked to 4.2, 4.6, or 4.8. eVGA's x58 board (that I had) had a "Dummy O.C." feature that was similar, but it wasn't always stable so I am slightly biased towards the easy O.C. features, although I have tested this ASUS CPU Level Up one yet - I just got 4.5 stable last night with 20 LinX runs (took 6 hours) and 4 hours of Prime. Only had to use 1.26 V as well. I like messing around in the BIOS anyway, that way I feel like I'm actually learning something. LOL :tehe:
i never changed voltrages to get 4.5 stable but i had to in order to get 5 stable the Asus OC genie shit is pretty good but I wanted to do it myself aswell good shit sogy
I probably could have gotten 4.5 with default 1.25V but I got a crash mid way through LinX so I bumped it up .01 and was able to pass it.
