Hey, give it a shot, it is free. I give codes! 30th, free for everyone. Why not? You know you aren't doing anything important, play a free game! :punch:

And yeah, it isn't P2W, I just can't see it. I mean I don't even have to say it doesn't "seem" to be, we know what is on the shop! It is the normal "get through stuff faster" kinna purchases. I love games that make their cash shop currency and in-game currency transferable too, it allows for anything to be bought with in-game currency which makes P2W an impossibility.

I'd love a code if anybody has an extra. I didn't get to play nearly as much as I wanted in CBT3.

And I can't stress enough how much the abbreviation CBT makes me cringe. Just sayin'.

Decoy knows what up! None of you have any good reason to not try it at the very least!

I feel like this beta is going to be bad for my Crysis 3 crash site ranking :(

I played a lot of DDO waiting for D3 and GW2 to come out. I had a lot of fun with it. I had friends try it out and not like it as well. It is definitely a game where you can make worthless toons if you didn't plan them out. The unique combat was I guess unique but from an action standpoint annoying. For example, I am in range, swing my weapon into a mob but roll a 1 and miss. Also Armor was worthless.

I could see early on a lot of the quests are similar but once you get packs like GH and Shroud and beyond it more interesting but a lot more grind. Then they would have special events and I would have to grind one area before the event wore off because the items were too good to miss (Pirate Cove).

That and the lack of Bard love bothered me the most. Granted I have not played since they dropped the Epics Destiny or whatever so maybe it's better but I would constantly post in the bard section of forms (until it was changed to the specialist section) trying to get improvements. It got better from when I started to when I quit but was still far from balanced (Melee WC or nothing though I loved my Virtuoso).

Yeah, the game has improved a hell of a lot over time though. For example last years forgotten realms expansion was pure amazing. All the new quest packs and wilderness areas are extremely fun. I've never felt like this game is a grind, ever. I've never really repeated quests I didn't LOVE more than 3 times (normal, hard, elite for first time completion bonuses.) The only actual grind is cove but that has been improved as well and I LOVE it because it's pretty tactical.

The problem with bards is that you need basically 3+ people to feel like a super credit to team. (imo) The game isn't solo friendly whatsoever though. You have to be running with friends constantly to enjoy it. I have a barb at max atm. I also have a monk and a rogue coming up to epic content level atm. Been playing it for years and just having fun with some of my friends. There are 3 of us and have a level 40 guild that's just going up and up and up. Yay for small guild bonuses =X

And if you have 1 bard in raid group a lot of times the will not take a 2nd because the songs are wasted and adding another fighter/ranger/monk/barb/rogue would be better. My good friend and I played a lot and were in a small guild. I actually left for a bigger guild who had a raiding schedule that you could sign up for (which worked really well when you only have a few nights that you can game).

Anyway sorry for the NW derail. :)

see if this one was used, I didn't see anyone type anything and don't want it to go to waste. The main forums are nothing but people requesting a key on the top page :mad:_@:

Yeah =/ I understand. I've been playing with long time friends so we really don't care. We can do all the content except the end game raids so it's no big deal. Grinding the raids for gear that's barely better than the epic hard and epic elite named isn't enticing. I'd only do it if we had our own group of competent fun people.

    Yeah, sorry for the derail.

That Foundry idea really makes me want to play this game even more.
I love the idea of player-made content, and hopefully it'll help with the "OMG NO END-GAME CONTENT WHAT THE FUCK" or "I'VE DONE ALL THESE QUESTS BEFORE, IT'S SO BORING TO REROLL!" issues.

I really, really, really hope they'll let us make end-game raid-type content later.
I imagine Foundry content is moderated somehow, anything else would be stupid, so it would be easy to allow us to make raiding content that doesn't trivialise their own (provided their plans are to actually add some?).

At the moment we can't make anything like that. I think the max group size is something like 5 people and sadly the difficulty doesn't scale per player involved. I find most foundry authors who have made content for me to test ended up making fights more difficult then the leveling content provided, but I don't imagine it stopping a 5man group until the add the ability to use elite level bosses and allow authors to flag their content as group content. At the moment the difficulty of the quests is only based around the enemy group size mentality. We know there are many people who want to make 5-man content for players, so they are limited to picking elite mobs that are still soloable and throwing a few of them together as a pack. This might be good enough, that is how TESO plans to do group level content and their variation of raiding (enemy masses instead of singular high HP boss), so we will see what is produced.

Personally, I find the foundry quests I have liked the most so far are ones made to work as mazes/labyrinths.
i've seen some good use of teleporters and room-by-room trap/spawns and some really huge maps so far.
