I'll be trying the game out on the 30th. If i like it and if we have enough activity in it, i'll think about dumping some money on it.

 

I don't expect this to become the "next big thing", even by a long shot.
But I miss playing an MMO, and the current ones available simply aren't appealing to me, so I am getting desperate.
Neverwinter will probably just be an intermediate stepping stone for me, until something like ESO releases.

Question: Are we going to try an get a(n unofficial) guild up and running, or perhaps find one together?
I don't know if guilds provide some sort of guild perks or not, but nevertheless it would maybe be a nice way to keep in touch and perhaps ease up the process of grouping up? :>

 

Initial post has been updated with current players I know of in game.

I wouldn't mind setting up a guild in game if we can get enough people on and playing. I don't know that there is a specific benefit but it may make the things you mentioned easier.

 

Hmmm, I am still puzzled over what to roll tomorrow. I personally enjoy playing more middle ground characters in D&D (medium armour) but the only character that seems to fill that role is the cleric. Have they released any information if more classes are in the pipeline?

 

going off the professions, there are 4 armor types
Control Wizard benefits from tailoring as the cloth user.
Guardian Fighter utilizes plate armor and the corresponding profession.

For your middle of the road in armor types:
Trickster Rogue wears leather armor.
Cleric and Great Weapon Fighter both wear the same armor class, chainmail (mailsmithing shows off armor for both of them).

If you want to be that mail armor type, the 2nd strongest out of the four, you have 2 classes that use it.


For future classes, data-mining revealed information in the game client for two classes, the Ranger and Warlock. Likely they will be the next two to release and wear leather and cloth classes respectively.

 

Warlock is what I would likely delete my current control wizard for as offensive mage is what I prefer. That being said I am having quite a bit of fun playing control wizard and my main in the last couple GW games has been warrior. I also played a warrior in DDO.

Servers are lagging badly atm and when i say badly i mean 1k+ ping badly =]

 

Yeah I tried to log on earlier, went through the tutorial and then I had 6k ping so I left.

 

Mother of god. Position 5000 for queue. Kind of wishing I had the hero of the north pack right now.

Turn out that the queue number is bugged and jumps around randomly but your place in the line is not changed. (Source)
