had good reviews when I bought it. I can believe that it get's meh now. there's better bigger faster cooling out there. I still like mine.
Yeah I made the mistake of not buying modular due to 1. My slight noobish, but mainly 2. My frugal-ness. If I build a computer for a friend or what-not then I'll buy a modular one and give them my current PSU. : )
The watercooling kit i make do not need any liquid change. i had some run for 2 years now and the water look like it's still drinkable... No worries there. But the real honesty is that after doing over 30 watercooling rigs i can tell you performance wise you do not get mutch more then the normal videocards cooler plus a noctua NH-D14 for the cpu. you will get within 10% of what watercooling can get you for mutch less $ P.S. Do not buy the H50 of H70. They are good but the proble is that the noctua Nh-D14 is BETTER temps wise and is less likely to break down ( simplier )
Non conductive liquids are a joke. Honestly the best you can do is pure water ( now called deminarized water found at any drug store), anti fungal tubing and Pure silver fitting for anti-microbial.
Thanks a ton, yea I saw noctua and had heard about it by a few people but wasn't sure if it was worth it to get it or not. Thanks for the tip though, I'll make sure to get the Noctua NH-D14, if there isn't something better by then. =]
I won't disagree with you if you think this is better. my H50 still keeps my CPU at a nice 31 degrees celsius, and it leaves my case wide open for air flow to other components. my biggest concern over the Noctua is that the heat dissipation / radiator would sit over my 6 ram slots, and those need air flow / cooling too. right? also, so many "verified users" on Newegg call it an air cooler, not water. just wondering. it looks like it has some pipeage between the two radiators, so it could be water, could be air...? just wondering. whatever it is, people love it, that's for sure.
I just watched video reviews of all the HAF models and the HAF 922 nor 932 have the grommets for cabling, unless you're referring to the two rad lines. Cabling grommets should be all over the place for your mobo. The 942 option only has the extra pair which isn't going to be enough to get the job done properly. Does everyone still lock down their HDD's? I'm surprised most boards these days aren't swappable.
Yeah, you are right. I'm frugal, and I went with the "cheaper" one. Regretting my decision now obviously. Good thing I have good cable management. : \
the 600D is definitely a great alternative to the 700D or other cases, corsair makes great cases for the few they do make, well designed to say the least with wire placement. I've been using the HAF 932 for just over a year now from a scratch build I have since rebuilt the case and modded it unfortunetly haven't had the time to put the finishing touches on the mod but hoping to get that done on my Christmas break just need to finish drilling my acrylic
I'm trying to figure out what case to get, I really like the 800d, but I don't want to WC with this build, at least not right now as I'm trying to keep my budget under 1500. The HAF and pretty much every Antec case just look to tacky for me. I need something I can take to work and not have people think I'm a 14 year old kid. So I'll probably just get the 800d as many noctua's as I can cram in there for now, unless someone has a better suggestion.
I'll do some research for you. I love my HAF932 but its way to bulky to be carrying around. And you're right, if you aren't going to WC with the 800d, it supposedly doesn't have the best airflow.. but I guess you can MAKE some airflow if you really wanted.
Yea, I'm just not a fan of the HAF Line. Also, don't you have to build your own airfilters for the HAF's with the exception of one model? The 800d has so many ease of use features, I'm sure I'll end up getting it, or I may just get a 600d for a temp case until some better front panel USB3.0 cases hit the market.
