Check this for some electronic attacks for the ears The site is down but there's just one album available.
I missed them on Lowlands 2006 because my tent was in 10cm (which is app. 4 inch) of water And that sucked
you should definitely check out demon hunter, they're a band I found and can't stop listening to now. Also Avenged Sevenfold is good Thrice is an older band, gotta get their old stuff from the album "the artist in the ambulance", new stuff is shit. You could try Stone Sour or Devil Driver if you wanna go a little harder. and OH YEAH if you haven't listened to or heard of Coheed and Cambria you need to.
Paul Oakenfold is beast. I didn't read everyone's posts so I don't know if it's been mentioned, but I really like Porcupine Tree. I also can't believe you don't like Tool - They are so full of pwn.
referred him to Il Nino (or whatever)? As for my nput, you would probably love Sonata Arctica (download 'The Collection' (a CD released back in like 2006) for a good sample of their music. Its their greatest hits sort of CD from then). I'm not sure if it was mentioned, but Disturbed is great. Another amazing band is Dream Theater (they have amazing instrumentals and a great vocalist. One of the best bands I've ever heard IMO)
None of the genres above, really, but if you have itunes, it's a free sampler for the ACL festival coming up. W4PKR7ANMRJ9
