What happened was, correct me if I'm wrong, but, the game had blocks of beta's that you could enter if you pre-ordered the "special" copy that guaranteed beta. They basicly said that the game was closer to release than it actually was, and when people got in and actually got to see the game in the block beta's, a good number of them demanded refunds. It almost seems like it was a ploy to get people to empty their wallets so development could continue. The people I know that got in pretty much said the game was a year away from being good, at the very least.
