mhm, well, i dunno about that, everyone dies, but saving the Galaxy not once but twice and being called a criminal for your troubles is a pretty sharp kick in the jewels.

  2. Maybe he gets killed... again.

  3. Mortae

    Mortae Veteran FFXIV Officer

It's due to Shepard's actions in the Arrival DLC... so that might not be excusable.

  4. Well I at least gave the Batarians fair warning of like an hour. It's their own fault they're all poor and can't just fly away on their own super advanced spaceship.

  5. Is The Arrival worth buying?

  6. I just read the synopsis. People complained about the game play since it was all solo which defeated the purpose of the whole squad mechanic. Plot wise though it's pretty good, and it's important for the tie-in with ME3

  7. Arrival and Shadow Broker are assumed to have happened in ME3, so you should get them and play them so you have actually done it.

  8. But is it worth the money to buy? I don't want to have them just to have done them, if its worth my playtime and hard earned cash then I'll pick 'em up, but if I can just read the general storyline for those 2 DLC's and it doesn't directly impact (although one could argue everything you've done since ME1 effects something) my ME3 experience then I'll pass.

  9. Shadow Broker is worth it. Having the ability to retain all your squad members powers is really useful during the game, the story is somewhat good, the visuals are nice, and the gameplay is a fun hour and a half. And reading about a bunch of the people in game and seeing their secrets is fun too

  10. I'd have to agree Shadow broker: worth it, Arrival: not so much

  11. Thanks, can always count on you to tell the truth... usually.

  12. Although if you want to have your universe consist entirely of your own decisions you're gonna have to shell out the $10 or whatever it is now.

  13. But dont you HAVE to choose to destroy the mass relay? No real decision there.

  14. LOL MINOR SPOILERS FOR THE BEGINNING OF MASS EFFECT 3 LOL

The beginning of Mass Effect 3 has you witness the death of a child who cannot be saved under any circumstances.

    So... it's a pretty tragic start. >_>

  15. It's not done in a really in your face way though. So technically, it's just part of the scenery of Earth being demolished. Or I could just be a sick person who doesn't care about people :p

  16. I got that impression too, that its just part of the "environment" of what's happening to Earth at the current time.

  17. Yeah, but it's more of a 'how' you destroyed it kinda deal.
    Spoiler lol
The child thing, while it is sad, it's just a speck in the greater worldwide tragedy. Think about this, while you are watching that single child be killed there are thousands of orphanages full of orphans being burned to the ground.
So I guess while you could argue the death of the Earth is a HUGE start it doesn't have the pzazz that killing of Shepard in ME2 did. Simply because A: it isn't a big shocker, and B: it's not very personal to the player playing the character if you get what I mean.

  18. So we're all in agreement! :) As millions of children die with the Reapers incoming, totally not a huge deal cause we care about Turians and getting an army with our epic Sheppard!

  19. Screw the Turians it's all about the Quarians

  20. Its all about the pentiums, baby.
