i am just gonna get new vid card and then when intel comes out with after sandybridge ill buy that ... my i7 is good enough
List of features I want out of my keyboard: Full keyboard with all it's keys Backlit Sexy Welp, that's all of them. I don't need macros, I dont need a dozen USB ports. I don't need it to make me coffee. Just type and look damn sexy doing it
I dont think I would ever pay anywhere close to $160 for a keyboard. I have a Lycosa I bought for $70 and I would never ever pay more than that, even this was pushing it and probably not worth it IMO. Now that Razer has cheaper versions out, I would just go with those. Still a really nice looking keyboard though
Well I have the G15 and it was cheaper then that lol to me thats a little over priced for a keyboard that doesnt do anything really but light up. Guess since its a Tron theme keyboard they want to sell it for a stupid price
Must be your location. When I ordered my new PC I got all the parts in 3 days. The longest ship was from CA for my HD.
well i dont use everything but im the type that like bang for my buck. I wouldnt buy the keyboard u got since all it does is light up from what iv seen. i can go get a keyboard that does purple, red and blue back light for a cheaper price
Not all lit keyboard are created equally. I find this one more aesthetically pleasing than any I have seen thus far. I am willing to pay more for it because quite simply it isn't much money.
Ran a few benchmarks. I scored 11,425 3D marks with my 8800GTX (not the ultra), and I scored a measly 12,357 with the ATi 6950. Granted, I had used Windows XP for the 8800GTX and Windows 7 for the new card... but still. I thought this card was supposed to be better. Both tested using 3DMark06 and default settings. I'm not impressed at all. I ran Rift and got a 10 FPS increase over the 8800GTX Ultra (using same graphics settings). I was expecting about 30. So how do I flash it to a 6970? It might be able to redeem itself.
Aren't most mmo's more CPU intensive than GPU? You will probably get better gains when running a test on crysis 2 or something
Either way, it doesn't explain the 3DMark score. Also, I get 30-45 FPS on Crysis 2, on the "hardcore" setting (which I believe is the maximum, without using the settings utility). This isn't too bad, but I never tested Crysis 2 hardcore setting with my previous card, so I can't compare.
3D mark 06 cant even take advantage of most of the newer things GPUs have Go compare Crysis on max settings for both cards and come back. That game is mostly GPU bound and would be one of the only ways to test the difference between cards.
Run the Metro2033 benchmark program. Its actually harder on your video card than anything else out there.
Also, 3DMark 06 and Vantage, not sure about 11, are biased towards NVidia. So Nvidia scores higher even with a slower card. Good that you figured out how to flash it for yourself And as Bob said, Metro 2033 is insane on stressing graphics hardware. I would love to see a test on your computer between an 8800GTX vs AMD 6950/6970
Is the Metro2033 test a standalone download or is it part of the game? I also installed 3DMark 11. I got X1444 on the 6950 before being flashed, and X1602 after being flashed. I used the Extreme preset. It was hard to believe some of those demos weren't pre-rendered. Quite unbelievable.
