It is wearing off...the blanket we surround ourselves with. To get thru "our lives" each day, with all the pain and misery in the world that surrounds us daily we block off some of our empathy. Its not that we don't care..its that we have to move on with our life. Todays pictures of Japan stripped away more of that blanket. Empathy can be painful. Some people (not here) Ive seen have no sympathy or empathy towards this. some are partly inhuman... like sociopaths.. For some its too many images flooding them daily of war and carnage(news, videos games and movies) They are numb,They just have a thicker blanket..this will sink in for them at some point. I really don't have a point here..other than to express this for myself as much as you. let your self feel empathy..its human and its healthy.
it just dawned on me..my new avatar..that pic..that moment in the movie is very poignant to my last post. Those who know the movie know what I mean. He was a sociopath of the highest order. a bit of the old ultra-violence
all that changed this morning. now the storage pools are boiling for the spent fuel rods and there was a fire in unit 4 yesterday. So who ever told me to educate myself i dont need to i know how to read. Here is the post about how bad it is over there http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/ap_on_bi_ge/as_japan_earthquake
Hence why i said 'yet' lol. Now it's into the catastrophic effect part with that fire and the one reactor starting to leak. Not looking good over there
yea i aggree with you they really have it hard right now and it is affecting the whole world one way or another.
It's a tragedy, right or wrong about worse then that this or that, it should be an eye opener to us living on the coast. If that happened in my neck of the woods..... gah... japan was far more prepared reports new agencies, it's definitely a reminder at how fragile we are on the coast.
strange how the news is focusing on the reactors..its doubtful they kill anyone or even threaten anyones health even if they meltdown. The area has been cleared. yet thousands have been crushed or drowned..yet the news is all about the reactors. I guess the quake and thousands dead is just soooooo yesterday
Actually there are still more than 100,000 people in the 18 miles area around the plant and as we speak they are affected by radiations. Sure not by much and hardly harmful for their health but if the Torus or the Vessel gets any more damaged, it could be catastrophic. And I guess talking about the "worst nuclear incident since Chernobyl" is more impressive for the retarded masses watching Fox and CNN.
My husband told me today that the plants last ditch effort is failing. And the US government is making all US citizens in japan (military or civilians) evacuate. Mass hysteria and a threat of radiation mutated Japanese... its a lovely day in japan!
