Final Fantasy XI was a big time grind fest. Hopefully they'll make a better game with XIV

not sure that changed, I heard that this FF isnt as going to be as good as the last one. They changed a few things and some of the controls BUT thats all i know

Final Fantasy XI Online stands tall with the distinction of being the hardest game to sign up for in history. Go donwload everything and start a trial account haha. It's humorous.

I just never got into the FF series.. I never liked the whole choose action deal, I liked real time decisions, not the stop and think about what I am going to do type of thing =D

 

I was huge Fan of FFXI and I can't wait to play this one.

 

Well I have good news for you, this adaptation is going to be more action based this the previous game model.

I can't wait for this game. I was huge fan of FFXI and until this day I still think it's one of the best MMO's ever release. Top on my list for a ton of reason. Hopefully, Square addresses the issue with FFXI, if they do there is no doubt in my mind that FFXIV is going ot be great.

 

This, if not - well - then I might have to pass it up even though it will be very hard for me not to try it.

I'm glad they are trying to take MMO's in a "new direction" with the no traditional leveling system and base it heavily on armor/weapons.

You can say Darkfall tried that (and it was a good idea) I just hope they make some type of long-term character development / goals other than just weapons and armor, although you can argue that all MMOs are in the progression of getting better gear I'm just curious how they will do it without the traditional leveling curve of things..

Applied. Never got into Final Fantasy games in the past but sounds like they are changing certain things that I've always felt needed changing so it looks interesting.

 

yes.....BUT FF is know to be a grinder

 

i think thats kind of what it is about with FF games yeh. well the story and character development ofc but the grind is a HUGE part of it.
