Dragon Nest

I am on Gerrant, as Argenta crashed for a little bit. I can always roll another character later on.

 

Wanted to give a quick review for anyone curious...Level 1-10

Gerrant server....(or however its spelled)

Graphics 7/10
Cartoony style animation, but done well, appealing to the eye and crisp, but nothing breathtaking either.

Gameplay 8/10
Surprisingly easy to play Tera combat combined with Vindictus Instancing, not nearly as boring as Vindictus IMO. Nice party play system and a good game for casual play. No mob stealingunch:

Crafting/Enhancement system 8/10
Again full featured and easy to pick up, nothing new but done well and intresting for new players.

Overall the game is well done for FreeToPlay, the first 10 levels I played kept me entertained and I was glad I downloaded it, Ill recommend it for someone thats bored and wants a decent game to put a few hours a week into. Dont expect it to blow your mind, but its better then most of the garbage out there.

 

Pretty high marks there.

 

Tho the IP block thingy bothers me >.>

 

I'd expect more 5/10s for the commentary now that I read each a little more closely, heh.

 

Remember, no game ever scores less than 7/10 unless it's absolutely terrible.

 

Its a decent game, the game play is a bit repetitive... but hey. Reminds me of the old Gauntlet games except with more abilities. Abyss rank dungeons are not overly worth it with only 2 players, as Face and I found out.

7 = Decent/Nice
8 = Good
9 = Really good
10 = Nyan Cat good

 

It's better then your average F2P Koreasian MMO.

 

Nyan cat good being 10 gets a thumbs up for me.

 

I've seen some is on Gerrant while others on Argenta... I have created toons on both but trying to figure out if we all agreed on one for this event...

 

Im not sure about others but im playing on Gerrant.

Also for those semi intrested in the game heres a video of a level 24 boss fight (highest level atm in beta). Really just wanted everyone to see what the combat had to offer, since the rest of the game is a little bland. It nice the active aiming, no lock on skillz, and that you can create alot of your own combos. (For example I have 5 attack skillz on my quickbar, but can put together about 10 different attacks combos from just direction keys and mouse movements)
