Dragon Nest

Is dragon nest split between east and west like vindictus? And are the instances hosted by the Nexon server or by the client side?

 

From what I saw it is East/West servers like Vindictus (wiki lists it as such but I missed out on CBT). It's all hosted servers. They confirmed it at e3 in a article I read. So no more lag issues for parties or pvp.

 

Does anyone know how to apply to beta? I can't seem to find the area on their main website.

 

They haven't opened up the application section for the next beta yet.

 

The next beta is OBT so unless it's one of those fake CBT you shouldn't need to apply.

 

OBT is July 26th.

 

Dammit, was hopping for earlier but oh well. Now to decide what class to play...

 

Fair enough, guess I will make this game my primary to wait for while waiting for Tera. I am excited, now only if they could get some large scale/guild battles in the sucker.

 

Already announced riot there is territory wars although it isn't out yet.

 

AoC wont hurt it. Tons of people have been waiting a long time for a english DN. I personally have been waiting since early '08. AoC had it's time to shine long ago. They are reaching out to different sides of the mmo market.

 

I don't really think AoC and Dragon Nest will be competing, due to graphical attraction and how the gameplay is vastly different. Open world vs instance running. It would be interesting to see how many people from Xoo are interested in playing this game.

 

Also from what I've seen AoC is tab targeting which puts these game in entirely different categories. Someone recorded and posted them playing though all of CBT torture yourself if you must.

 

Well the Open Beta is starting in 3 days. They announced the three servers name and region. We should probably agree on one beforehand.

Gerrant (East)
Velskud (West)
Argenta (East)

From what I read on the forums, Gerrant will be first on the list (Ya it's not alphabetical for some reason) so the population should be higher. Most of the Closed Beta veterans and the PvP community are aiming at Argenta. I don't mind either, but let's avoid being split everywhere.

 

Can anyone find a DL link? It's supposed to be up and working, but the link on the download game page is just an image atm, and not a real link. I guess maybe they just aren't ready yet.

Definitely going to play this till SW. Probably an archer or Warrior.
