    True Blood is legit.

    The accents kill me, though.

i try to ignore the badly done accents..I doubt any of them are from the south. I know the lead girl..the blond..is from New Zealand.

None of the accents sync..not one sounds like the other...you got your fake miss accent...a bit of fake texas sound..some georgia...and sometimes all in one sentence from the same actor.

Okay, honestly? I heard many friends talk about this show, and Sunday night I watched it for the first time. I don't know if it was re-runs or a new episode, but I couldn't get into it, in fact - I thought it was pretty funny at most times. I'm into the vampire stuff (not Twilight though, obviously) ever since I picked up the first Blood Omen (lols!).

Maybe its the Louisania twist they are putting on it, but I couldn't get into it. Felt like it was kinda B-rated.

But then again, I love the Supernatural TV series, and I honestly thought the same thing about that until I watched a few seasons.

Maybe True Blood will grow on me /shrug.

Thats exactly what it did to me Sog, it grew on me. I wasn't into it the first season at all, to be honest, it's the characters that make me watch the show. The story and the vampire dramatics are still kinda silly, but it's supposed to be I suppose. It's wanting to see what was going to happen to the characters the next episode that got me into this show. That and I like HBO/Showtime series because I like cussing, nudity, and adult content. I'd suggest starting from the first episode of the first season, coming in now would kinda be whack.

Yeah, I was lost and was just taking everything for face-value.
Like I said, I thought the same about Supernatural, but its one of my favorite TV series now.

I'm not a big TV/movie guy as it is, so its hard for me to actually sit down and enjoy a show in general.

I've never seen the show. Vampires seem a bit girly to me,not sure why. I watched half of the first episode twce before falling asleep. Going to give it another shot, HBO does pretty good on it's originals generally.

Twilight might be the cause of that nowadays.

I have to say, that i enjoyed the books more than the tvshow, but the tvshow is still really great, even tho it doesnt stay true to the books at all. and season 3 has just gone batshit crazy. cant wait til season 4 :)

I like it, the societal aspect of their vampires and also the general brutality and deceit with them is pretty damn awesome.

Indeed one of the weakest part of these movies play Sookie, I couldn't stand True Blood because of her. :p
