Yeah it's not looking good for 2010 D3. A photo from a PowerPoint from a Blizzard financial presentation Source
yeah, Blizzard isn't known for quickie game development. Good thing really, but it sucks having to wait so long. Edit: Has anyone speculated on the "Unannounced MMO" in the last frame?
Probably, but it really could be anything. Perhaps less likely a WoW2, but I wouldn't rule even that out - or a new IP, which they've said they wanted to do for some time.
I remember there being more speculation on an SC MMO when it was announced that they were working on another MMO. And WTF is China Online?
I would put my money on a Starcraft MMO. There still isn't a good sci-fi mmo out there, and the fantasy genre is far too saturated. It would be a great battle between Worlds of Starcraft and SW: The Old Republic.
I almost didn't update because I don't feel anything important has been mentioned. More talk of D3 NOT being out in 2010. It's a shame really because when they 1st announced it looked so close to being done. With each Blizzcon demo it looked finished. Blizzard is now looking for other ways to implement skills instead of a skill tree. Not sure what that means atthis time. I don't feel like going out and finding the source. If anyone cares I can find it. Right now it seems pointless because all we know is they are looking to get rid of skill trees.
There was some comment from Jay Wilson to that effect, but I've yet to hear any detail about what it means. I had expected Diablo 3 around late 2010, but I had expected SC2 around ... now, and that's been delayed as well.
source There is some talk at Diii about what the systems could be. Instability makes me think of a few possible things. It could be like the magic users in WAR where they have a chance to backfire or crit on spells. What really came to mind for me was Baldurs Gate II Wild Mage or NWN 2's Warlock. Warlocks in NWN had a very limited amount of spells they could cast, but could cast them as many times as they wanted. Some people think the monk system might be something that build when an enemy is killed (similar to Fury, or GW Necro Soul Reap). Others mentioned a meditation style rebuilding. Source
I should probably update this. I haven't really been in the mood for D3 since it is not coming out this year. - There was a leaked Blizzcon date in October. Nothing official, who knows if it's true. - The Female monk was revealed: Source Fans are upset because they think she is ugly. - Also there was more talk about weapon swapping not being added. I still think this is a bad move. Source - There is a Battle.net preview out now. Nothing that new for me. Basically you can get achievements across all blizzard games.
They must have something wrong with them, I think she's pretty. I mean, she is a hand to hand combat specialist (rugged, tough, etc.), and she's not going to be your typical "Korean-MMO-girl". I like shorter hair though, /shrug. To each their own. <3 concept art.
I think it is perfectly fine. My only real issue so far with the game is lack of classes. Apparently there is only be 4 classes ? and worst thing is i dont really fancy any of them. I was hoping on Necromancer, or something different.
I thought I remember reading 5.. then again - I haven't kept up with it in a while. I know they are releasing info on each class a little bit at a time.
While Blizzard is insistent that the Witch Doctor isn't a Necromancer replacement, it seems pretty clear to me that it cannibalizes most of the Necromancer's roles, which probably means no necro this game.
