I mean I have played the warrior class since D1 and I always tend to go that route in games, Dual wielding frenzy barbarians usually. I remember being one of the first frenzy barbs on USEast before it became a trend. At least to my knowledge I was one of the firsts.
<---- Previous XoO D2 CO I mean when exactly was Frenzy a trend for build usage? I mean it would have to be before 1.10 since the synergy cut the point efficiency for frenzy compared to WW drastically.
yes i know you were the previous D2 CO. I meant like pre 1.09 as in 1.03-1.08 I was using frenzy on my barb when everyone was still using ww and such.
Usually it works that you have to declare hostility on someone else from a town safezone, then it flags you and them plus anyone in their party (you can't be partied when declaring, and anyone you party joins your flagging). This form was pretty foolproof until people scripted macros to tppk in hardcore, how it works is they shoot a projectile that lasts after they portal back to town and macro hostility instantly, the projectile turns hostile and kills you where regularly it would lock them out of using portals to prevent that from happening. I've never been TPPK'd or chasekilled in HC but it's been attempted 16 times last ladder season, and 3 chasers (a chaser is when they hostile you then chase you through the area they last saw you in).
I hope not. Was a good idea like Lev said until people learned how to script around it. Me personally, I hated hacks, even though I did not use them, to play "safe" in Hardcore you had to have a chicken hack that would auto exit you to lobby in order to not get killed. TPPK used to piss me off the most... bunch of chicken shit amateurs.
Media Update #4 01-08-2009" We have added four new pieces of artwork and five new screenshots. Source
I think they will never remove this from D2 because it keeps the sociopaths playing until D3, where they can remove it anyway.
Some posts by Bashiok. Nothing that impressive: http://www.diii.net/blog/comments/diablo-iii-build-customization-ui-economy-and-more/
One thing I want, only one thing. I do NOT want to see teleporting barbarians, ww'ing 'sins, FOrb druids... etc... When 1.10 dropped, my 4 or 5 years however long it was, of playing d2 stopped, all my accounts were done, garbage, finito, done. But the one thing besides synergies that pissed me off, were the rune word combo crap where you could have teleporting 'sins, ww druids etc... For the love of god, PLEASE do not put that ugly crap in this game, if they do, I probably will not play even though it is my favorite franchise of any game I have ever played.
Runes in D3 are completely different than D2. Somewhere in this thread it talks about them. Summary: "Skill Runes are skill-modifying items that are randomly dropped by monsters and used across all classes. They can be attached to each skill like an item, often completely changing the gameplay of each skill." Known Runes: Striking - Turns teleport into a damaging spell. (I assume adds damage or splash damage to damage spells). Multistrike - Spells hit multiple targets. Adding it to the WDs skull of flame attack produces multiple exploding pots. They 1st one explodes and another one bounces from that spot in a straight line. Adding to electrocute adds a chain lightning effect. Teleport with Multistrike creates a clone of yourself with you teleport! Power - Combined with the WD's skull of flame, will leave burning areas on the ground. Damages enemies who walk into them. Lethality - Causes enemies to explode when the die. Yes, I have been updating this thread whenever I find new information. Though there really hasn't been anything that great since October.
Whilst I admit it was a bad move and ruined the gameplay a bit, I loved my teleporting ww assassin. :3
