In the grand scheme of things I care little for SC. I would prefer they focused on D3. I think both will be great games I am just a Diablo nut.

Also the quote might be an exaggeration of the truth. Say there are 10 people working on SC and 100 on D3, the quote could fit. I don't know but I hope both games come out as fast as possible while still being awesome.

It was said in some interview that they will release Battle.net 2.0 with SC2 so chances are it would SC would come out before D3.

Summary of All Known Diablo III Facts in One Place

We have received two big updates in DiabloWiki, one for the Diablo 2 wiki, and one for the Diablo 3 / general wiki. There is a fancy new Uber Diablo featured article, so if you missed out on all the new content in the Patch 1.10 release back in the days, you can read up on more of these rare parts of the Diablo II endgame, as well as be a part of it(if you are very lucky)!

If you are a new or returning Diablo fan, you should start to update your knowledge about Diablo III by reading through the Diablo 3 Basics article, which is the main Diablo III Fact Sheet and located in the Diablo 3 wiki. It provides all the known information about the upcoming Diablo sequel with a brief explanation and links to read more in-depth information. If you wanted to know more about classes, item drops, release date, system requirements or any other topic, you have all information available in a short and explanatory summary.

On the same page, you should feel free to pitch in and help the community by updating the "fact sheet" with information released in interviews or blue posts (you can find material in the Media Coverage section), or perhaps add new pages where missing. You can get further assistance in the Help sections of the wikis, or you can contact Leord for guidance.

PS. http://www.diablowiki.net/Diablo 3 Basics]The fact sheet is really awesome, you should check it out, regardless. and if you don't agree on that statement, there is nothing holding you back from MAKING it awesome!

I read that, and I didn't think it was good enough to tell people yet.

I mean there all the information needed is in these 47 threads. :)

Yeah, I must have beaten Hell on 6-7 different characters by now. Half of them have been solo.

Yeah no kidding, D1 was hard as fuck solo no matter how you slice it.
8square directional projectile gameplay with multiple enemies closing in and forcing a flank? Also not getting your gear back unless you physically make a corpse run that game?

    Today's Update:

    "Bestiary Update: Scavenger
    10-02-2008"

The Diablo 3 Bestiary now features a new creature from the realm of Sanctuary: the ferocious scavenger.

I had indeed seen scavengers: small, burrowing creatures that feed upon carrion. Unlike most animals of this type, however, they are extremely aggressive and will not hesitate to attack those unfortunate enough to encounter them. Scavengers have powerful legs which they use for swift springing attacks, striking at vulnerable faces and throats.

Check out the scavenger entry now!

We've also expanded the media galleries with four new pieces of artwork and seven new screenshots."

"The new character has been revealed and, as somewhat expected, it’s a mage. A wizard, to be exact. There are a bunch of screenshots and a new gameplay movie featuring the new character. Updates to come very soon, we’re in the press room working away right now.

    Here’s the press release blurb.

    Char Selection Screen
    [IMG][IMG]

The best information I have found so far and the site with more screens: http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/55245

    Wizard Spells:
    - Charged Bolt (magic missile style not like D2)
    - Fire Ball
    - Frost Nova
    - Tornado
    - Electrocute
    - Teleport
    - Slow Time (I'm guessing like D2 Zon's Slow Missles)
    - Mana Recovery (I'm Guessing Warmth)
    - Disintegrate
    - Meteor
    - Hyrda

    OK, some other related stuff:

Somewhat mixed feelings on the enforced attributes - but I do have to admit that you generally had no choice when building characters anyway - you went with what the build required. I'm not sure how this is going to affect those; builds come down to skills and items now, which is ... arguably still most of the important stuff from Diablo 2, I suppose. We shall see.

The four player restriction is a different story again. I rarely played in games that were even that large, but there have been many complaints from the PvP side. Then again, there's a good chance PvP games will be handled differently anyway - since you're often talking about human players only, no monsters, there are obviously going to be fewer lag issues.
