The last question is the best. Blood spray will be great to see.

I'll keep posting stuff as I find it.

Thanks Don! I think most people were convinced with only 5 classes total that the WD was the Necro replacement. Nice to read up on their thoughts.

Good to know that its not a direct replacement and that they are open to they idea of bringing the Necro back later on

I loved playing the Necro , I wonder if they plan of bringing the sorceress back or what they are going to do with that.

  7. The fighter and the mage are the two main characters in any game like this. There's no way they could ever get away with dropping either the mage or the fighter. In Diablo's case, the barb and sorc.

Most people who have played anything like this before will know in advance whether they want to be a physical damage dealer or a magical type of guy. Some of the older mmos even only have those 2 classes.

So nah, nothing to worry about I think, sorc will be there. I'll even bet 50 imaginary space dollars on it!

Don you can't forget about the stereotypical "faster than the fighter but doesn't do as much damage guy" or "ranged attack sneaky guy"

  9. Some of the obscure korean mmos classify those under fighter.
    You basically have
    - fighter with big weapon: barbarian/berzerker
    - fighter with bow: ranger/archer
    - fighter with short weapon/dagger: thief/rogue
    - fighter with hammer or spells: paladin

    but they're all just fighters

Fighter and mage, that's all you get. Except GMs, those are fightermages level 255 with all stats at 1000.

I'm basing this off of them obscure mmos. For example, there's one I forgot the name of, entirely 2D... Everyone starts off with a char level 0. Everyone is the exact same. The choices you make in your stats will determine what you are. So you could start off by putting stats into dex, then keep building that, wear warrior armour... but thens tart investing in mage stuff. Then you're a mage with warrior armour. Can't hold a sword though. Deals less damage than pure mages, etc.

But I be goin off topic now.

With the Barbarian and Witch Doctor all ready announced, lets look at the D2 classes.

Melee Combat, Summoner, Spell Caster, Ranged Combat and Healer. Melee Combat and Summoner are already announced, they still need a form of spell a spell caster, ranged combat and healer. I got a strange feeling that the Paladin will be back in full form much like the Barbarian, and the Spell Caster and Ranged Combat classes will be new, ah-la Witch Doctor.

They won't have a healer. They said it before.

    My prediction is

    1. Ranger: Mixing Amazon and Druid and possibly sin
    2. Mage (gender non specific sorc)
    3. Paladin style. Either a palidin or something like it.

The Paladin would fall into the healer slot then, wouldn't it? Look at the skills it had in D2. They wouldn't just re-write the pally would they?

  13. Not many people like healing though. We all chugged pots in D2 X.x

Yeah, but a Pally with Prayer is always welcome.

I think they will bring back the paladin and it may have some healing abilities, but I doubt it will focus on healing. All classes need to be "action-packed."

I never said it would be a dedicated healer. But the Pally is still a healing class...They are the only class with that ability.

oh, but all i play is pure healing classes.. :(

  18. Paladin could do pure healing. He'd throw white blobs at you while having the aura.
It's just that he'd be kinda useless when soloing.

Bah it's been so many days with nothing new to speak of. This sucks. Anyone paying the $100 to go to Blizz-con or whatever?
