A few rumors I heard about the storyline (Are they spoilers if I don't know if they're true?): -Apparently Deckard Cain has spent the 20 years since D2 ended searching for the last two evils (Belial and Asmodan: mentioned but never seen in D2). They ruled Hell while Diablo was away and were the ones who exiled him, along with Andariel and Duriel, to begin with. -The worldstone, which separated all Hell, earth, and Heaven, is now gone, potentially opening up a pathway for the minions of Hell to invade Heaven. -Also, the more I read it sounds like Diablo is the equivalent of Satan/Lucifer. It's seeming less likely that a "father" of the three prime evils will appear... at least in my limited reading of the original story.
You guys really never knew about being able to enter heaven? I know I read that somewhere years ago in an interview with Blizzard, I remember seeing it.
Most Blizzard games feel finished in Beta. I was in the War3, and the FT betas and they game was almost perfect.
It just occurred to me it'd be doubly screwed up if Blizzard's top-secret next-gen MMO was also set in the Diablo universe. Don't think it will be though - there's not much need for it with Diablo 3 already on the way. I'm picking either a new IP or ... maybe, if they're feeling adventurous, Starcraft.
I wonder when they are going to create a new series of games. I would like to see what else they can come up with even though I am psyched to see SCII and D3.
yeah they have had on their job hiring site, a top secret project since sometime last year when I checked it, then when diablo came out, there is still a top secret one, so, I think it might be some new IP or a new game from one of their series
Where did you get that info? On this site it states there is no release date http://www.theglobeandmail.com/serv...g030120080630114646/WBStory/WBwgtgameblog0301 No release date has been announced yet, but, based on the years-long development cycle of Starcraft II, another highly anticipated sequel to an aging Blizzard property, it's safe to say the American developer won't ship Diablo III until they think it's ready.
