Hello everyone. The message below is from Jes, the lead organizer for Black Desert. "Hello Ladies and Genties! This is a reminder that BDO CBT2 is a just a day away 2/18 and release will be 3/3. Conqueror package early start is on 2/28. For new BDO players below are a few tips and tricks to help you out 1) Talk to all NPC’s with logos on top of their heads as this will help your knowledge/progression in some of the mini games to access special items and quests. (if you see a “?” in your mini map its an NPC you have not spoken to) 2) Not all quest give LVL XP instead they give XP for energy (labor), contributions points and skill points 3) Don’t be afraid to use your contribution points as you can refund them anytime (silver/energy are not refundable) 4)There is no fast travel so get your donkey asap “Big Fish small pond” is the quest name should be made available around lvl 13-15. Ride your donkey and level up your “Training” skill to level 5 which will allow you to catch wild horses. 5) Unlock as much inventory as you can as you’ll need them below is a link to the list of quest https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10hHbShPIf02IZYHS7pj0vYnnxq7WmPAl2I6o8ev69GU/edit#gid=0 6) Everything has weight value from your gear/items/silver use your warehouse spaces. The warehouses are separate to each city they are not shared. But they are linked, you can transfer items to/from warehouse so as long as there is space available and you have silver to pay for the transport. 7) When you are fighting mobs and you don’t see their HP bar going down it is not a glitch, you just do not have enough knowledge about the mob. Keep killing more eventually you will get a letter rating on your knowledge about the monster the higher the rating the better S ranking is the highest. 8) Set up your trade route asap by investing contribution points into cities and nodes. This will help increase the sell about of the trash loot/fishes to NPCs. If you mouse over an item it will tell you the origin, the farther the location you sell it at the more money you will get. If the nodes are connected you get a % bonus. If you’re looking at your map white lines from node to node means they can be connected. Orange/yellow lines mean you have connect those nodes and can get the sell % bonuses. 9) Below are helpful links that has a bunch of guides from crafting / power leveling / horse taming and more.
