Don't go flaming them angrily on the phone. Get your lawyer friend to talk to them when they next call.

Also, why wait to inform Blizzard about this ?
Blizzard could chose to publicise you as an example as to why account selling is a bad thing. Which means they might be willing to help you, especially if you have evidence that will help Blizzard's lawyers take them down.

Don't worry about it hex, the only wise people who appear wise are ones in the rare position that their PR allows them to flourish. Abasement is usually the best course of action.

For instance, Canada is one of the best places on earth to live, AND we are protected by the most powerful army in the world.
    The US Army. =P
    Diplomacy, yo.

My thoughts on this, hexed, you're being paranoid for no good reason. Everyone that has said it's a scam is right. YOU SHOULD JUST IGNORE THESE PEOPLE! Don't send anymore emails, don't make any more phone calls, don't answer their calls. Come on dude, you're smarter than this.

Yeah this is obviously bullshit. First of all ignore them, they are fishing to get their money back. Blizzard does not give up info to anyone about account suspensions and reactivations, you have to send them a copy of your drivers license along with a certified letter with a raised seal. The guy I sold the wife's account to got it suspended, it was a huge hassle to try and get it back and I told the guy it was his fault for getting it suspended. End of story.

Just sit on the money. If you go blabbing to blizzard about it they will just ban the account anyway.

My question is why you keep mentioning that you will give them the account back. That seems to suggest you are in possession of the account, or someone you know is.

Ignore them and they will go hassle someone else who deals with them. Hit them back hard enough and they might stop. Though "hard enough" would have to involve more than simply killing off the account they got from you. For example, getting them prosecuted for fraud, which may include jail time.

Publicising you as an example would hurt their business as people refuse to deal with them.

Or you could just ignore them and let them scam someone else.

That is the plan. If they say he has got the account banned, first make sure it's banned, even if only to spite them.

He still gets to keep the money, and they lose out on the potential revenue they could get by selling the account.

Where did he say that ?
All I see is him saying that they are telling him to give the account back.

no i don't have possession of the account but apparantly im the only one who can recover it hah and a few days off pot and im already starting to think clearly i went back thru sum old e-mails and got a e-mail from blizzard saying that my account was being invesgiated because someone unauthorized to use the account logged on i beleive it to be the person who bought the account from the website then blizzard suspended the account and the customer complained to accounts.com who now are trying to scam me to get their account back. on a side know i still don't know why or how the e-mail was reset to my e-mail prolly to make me look guilty and that guy still hasn't responded from my last e-mail for me jsut asking his name i'll be calling blizzard tomorrow about shutting down the account for good.

If you convince Blizzard that your account was stolen, they might give it back to you. Or the scammers might be lying here.

A sudden change to the IP address used to access the account at the same time as a password change probably got the account automatically flagged as suspicious. Add in a change to the payment method and the account owners details and Blizzard is only left with one conclusion: The account has changed hands.

    Sounds plausible.
If I were working for Blizzard and found some suspicious activity I would do this on the grounds that if the account was stolen, the original owner would still have access to that email account and thus can get the account back.

And if it was sold the buyer will now be pissed at the seller.

Though how do they know it was reset to your email address ?
Knowing would require them to be able to view details on an account they can't access. So they are probably lying again.
Emailing them would probably work better, as they might be on holiday.

How did you animate it? I tried to find some software for that a while back but I didn't research that far seeing as the project dead ended at flash to gift software seeing as the gif I wanted was only in a youtube hosted MV.
