:/ Imho, we have plenty of quality members (even a few leaders), just no quality games. I've said it before and I'll say it again. It's because of the games that are out, not because of the members. Don't expect members to go out of their way for a crappy game. It all starts with, and revolves around, the game. If the game isn't good, the precious few leaders that are out there will not be passionate or interested, and the members will appear to be inactive and blahzay. The attitude of the player towards the game is the foundation of a successful guild/division.
I couldn't agree more. This community desperately needs a truly kick-ass game that lights people's fires. THere hasn't been anything truly inspiring for way too long now. Will we have to wait for SWTOR - end of 2010 at the earliest? Here's hoping that SOMETHING comes along sooner.
I so want to try that out, dunno which way I would roll though, if they have dirty cops though I think I would be set lol

Interview about APB with Realtime Boss... David Jones... Part 1 Part 2 Seems they may or may not be getting close to Closed Beta. If anyone has any inside contacts, they may want to go fishing to see if XoO can get some invites... please [smiles broadly].
Would seem that ABP will NOT be a monthly Pay-to-Play... MMORPG.COM or check out the APB Site itself... APB FAQ No word on what it will be, but it would seem that, officially for now, there will be no monthly fee for APB. Also, it may appear that there will only be a PC Windows version, based on this article... EuroGamerMMO
That sucks I hope they don't go the route of GW.. I prolly won't play it then.. Maybe as long as they don't call it an MMO after since its not.
Massively Multiplayer to me is playing with everyone.. Not these small pathetic pussy ass battles where only what 50 people can be on one shard at a time?.. Thats not massively multiplayer to me It reminds me of Diablo.. And they didn't call that Massively..
Well, definitions aside, GW had the all-time best PvP I've ever played. Nothing beat GvGing with an awesome build and 7 other great guys and girls.
GW is definately not an mmorpg, but it was still a very good game. It was more of a lobby-arenarpg. I hope APB is more than that.
Just because something has instances does not mean it is not an MMO. Guild Wars by definition is an MMORPG. You may not like it but it is. Just because Subway doesn't have greasy burgers, doesn't mean it's not fast food.
While I don't disagree, it's a bit more than that. The game has to have a larger persistant world outside of the instances. GW does not have this. GW is a bunch of lobbys strung together between instanced PvE and PvP. A persistant world is the key to being an MMORPG, and if every single area is instanced to only 1 group of players, it is by definition, not persistant.
