There's a well known group of what most would call trolls that play on XBL. They run around the game killing their team mates and pretty much screw with people.

They call themselves F@G (Federation of Asshole Gamers). Well, apparently the head of the XBL enforcement team doesn't like them. He console banned the whole group. One of the members went and got a new xbox and upon plugging it in was immediately console banned again.

They are all now account and console banned meaning even if they get a new xbox they will not be able to use their old gamertags.

You can find their youtube channel here theres some really funny stuff there. IMO these guys were wrongly banned. They may pick on people and make fun of them but they always tell the people they were just joking at the end.

    Thoughts?

Always been of the opinion if your going to be an asshole you better be willing to take a punch in the face if your not then don't be an asshole.

Although I think pema banning a product like this should be illegal if its not already in some countries. I think it gives to much power to the people selling this stuff.

If your going to ruin the game experience of others you better be able to handle your game experience to be ruined.

Problem is, by them not dealing with it, promotes bullying.

What they do is hide T&CS about interaction to others deep inside the customer agreement, who has ever read one of those fully (and understood ALL the clauses anyway...).

The internet allows too many people to be faceless arseholes, and it has degenerated over the last 5 years, look at the amount of MMO's where of 2-3k players you only really will play with a max of 2-300 if that because the rest are either idiots or nasty pieces of work (for shits and giggles)

I think this is great news. It brings back painful memories of playing Halo 3 and getting team-killed by people who had no interest in playing the game. The way I see it, if you have no interest in playing the game the way it was intended, then aren't playing at all.

It also makes sense from a business standpoint. Microsoft just sold a few more Xbox 360's, and prevented a large quantity of gamers from quitting Xbox Live due to the likes of F@G.

If you defend these guys, then you don't belong in Xen. Seriously.

This. I don't stand for stupidity in any form and if some random person tells you over the internet to hit your brother and you do it...

The Goons have done some hilarious things over the years and I've never seen them banned from games. It's like those carebears who QQed in AoC about getting corpse camped, it's apart of the game, if you can't handle it don't play or go on a PvE server.

Actually watching the video on why they were console banned it seems this head of the XBL enforcement team is openly gay and that's why he has targeted them. It doesn't have anything to do with how they play the game. This isn't the only group who goes around team killing, if they wanted to deal with that as a problem, put friendly fire in the game.

I think its funny.. Not the one where he does his sister, but I am talking about the one where you go to their youtube channel. Some of the comments are so funny.

But still, I don't codone bullying. It has to be stopped, so I am glad they got banned, but in the same sense it was all for fun.

EDIT: Ok I lied... I watched the sister video, and I couldn't breathe.. I know it was bad, but come on, that kid got trolled so hard, its not even funny...

Tbh, they always told people they were messing around at the end theres a few videos where you'll see them do it in the video. Also, it's not that they got banned it's the way they got banned.

I sub to them on youtube and if you would have followed their last few videos (they deleted most of them except the last one).

DJKEEMSTAR was on his live stream about to join a game, the XBL enforcement team was watching his live stream and banned him as soon as he went to start a match.

Which is pretty much fine. You got banned deal with it. Where it goes over the line is when he went and got a new $300 xbox and they again immediately banned him, followed by banning his XBL account itself.

The head of the XBL enforcement team has been known to stand up for gay rights, now he took this group as an attack against gays. Which means he banned them not because they were being an asshole but because he took it personally.

They also later banned the other members which weren't even online at the time.

I am a little concerned re: whether the XBL moderator guys have (and are following) appropriate guidelines on when and how to ban. It should never, ever get personal, and sometimes it sounds like it does (but of course, two sides to a story).

Their reasoning for banning them was console modding, which wasn't the case they joined a modded MW2 lobby they weren't hosting it. Which actually occurred 5 days before the ban.
