WoW Battlechest for $5

I've never played WoW, but $5 for a physical boxed copy of the main game, 2 expansions, full color strategy guide, and a month of game play + free delivery was too good to be true.

The game was delivered next day and I live in Canada, lol.

Maybe I'll finally give the game a try later on.

 

Pretty damn good deal, Lich King was a good expansion, the next one, cataclysm was one of their worst IMO. However the newest Mists of Pandara seems good so far. Anyway, you should really just try it out, it's pretty easy to get into.

 

To be honest, each of the expansion was generally well handled. And the game has seen tons of improvements over the years, without a doubt still the MMO to play for casual PvP and invested PvE raiding.

 

damn..that is a good deal..even if you play for 30 days

 

You still gotta spend $80-90 on buying the last 2 expansions.

 

I know MoP is half off, or was recently.

 

And we never saw Rubius again.

I went to the store not too long ago. It was $39.99 for Cataclyms and $39.99 for Mist of Mandaria.

 

Normally I'd try and convince you to contact me so I can get another RAF (Unlike these other bozos!) but frankly I have all the toons I want to 85. Haven't bothered with panderia yet.

 

$5 for the original + the first 2 expansions and all that other jazz is amazing. I quit after downing Rag in Cata and haven't been backed, but I had a lot of good memories and met some good people with this game.

Poor Ruby though.

 

Well, Sogs, I intentionally stayed away from the game due to hearing the game is too PvE oriented, and I'm mainly a PvP player.

 

...WoW has outstanding PvP. It just isn't sandbox PvP.

 

I wouldn't call it outstanding but it sure is fun and easy to get into. Or just plain easy. They have dumbed it down a LOT since launch. Not all the changes have been negative but still. Again I consider it fun pvp. Sadly sandbox/open world pvp doesn't exist on my server whatsoever so my opinion nowadays only relates to BGs.

 

It really depends. If you plan to run a few battlegrounds here and there, then the pvp is fun and easy. But if you expect to push your arena rating past 2200 then you would be hard pressed to find another MMO that provides the same competitively atmosphere/and game play as WoW. Which is understandable because they have had 10 years to refine the system, and to be honest, in terms of responsiveness of controls no one has ever touched WoW. The sandbox PvP in the game is utter shit mind you.

 

My opinion is when they invented gear specifically for PvP(Resilience gear) They took the fun out of the world pvp because while waiting for instances/raids you had a fair fight just wearing your raiding gear. Now a fully raid geared guy doesn't have much of a chance against someone equipped with pvp gear. I say do away with resilience and make pvp gear harder to obtain or equally as hard I should say as raid gear. I know this won't happen, but PvP just frustrates me in this game anyway.

and i dont need raf for leveling myself or anything else i have 11 carracters 85+ and all the mounts . its just to help someone get started . last one i helped i deleted 4 carracters and brought them back to 85 its extreme fast in raf

 

Right now, 5 bucks for the core + first expansions. 10 bucks for Cata, and 30 for Mists, right from the blizzard store. Total cost of 45 bucks is basically the same price as a retail game, minus having to pay for a subscription of course.
