Going for the gigabyte 780 GHZ edition, it's about same perfs as the 290x (above on nvidia games and below on amd of course) and even the 780 TI !

For once it's the same price than in the states :D and by buying @newegg i don't have to pay the provincial taxes... which are HUGE in Quebec... Now that i found a way to pay on newegg it's all good :)

The card is out of the box ! Will test it tonight, it's already inside my case and i've ran 2 minutes of BF4 on ultra was smooth.

I was afraid to use it as it came out freezing cold from delivery. I let it adapt :)

You should see how cold the cards get when you put liquid nitrogen on them for cooling

Finally, after much deliberation, and creating at least 5 forum threads on the topic, you got the card. I'm proud of you.

    Meh Rubius :p

It was not an easy choice :s it works great tho, BF4 never looked so good. and TW : Rome 2 looks great too even if FPS drop in big battles on ultra / extreme due to CPU failing to determine the correct pathfinding of the bazillion units trying to climb ladders or force city gates.

Vince already now beat his previous world record for Fire Strike with one of the cards. He got 1944MHz core clock speed too

Yeah, I caught that headline today. Awesome that EVGA pumped out a card made especially for the extreme OC crowd. Next card I get is going to be a top of line card. Likely won't be for a couple of years.

Yeah the 780 TI Kingping will be a beast for sure but close to the Titan's price range. It's bit too much fer me.

It's true tho that the 780 (Ghz edition) is the first top liner card i ever buy and, man, it makes a real huge difference. Everything runs perfectly on "extreme" and Skyrim reaches levels of detail i never thought possible (thanks to the custom ENB and the 4k textures everywhere, especially on character models). BF4 is unbelievable as well.

Consoles that just got released are already outgunned, but, well, they cost less than the card itself.

Still, i really think that the whole console thing is killing innovation and "next-gen" games. Should get rid of all of em altogether and work towards couch friendly gaming PC for dummies (apple having the mainstream (rich) dummies segment already). Maybe the steam box will go towards that direction.
