They need to adjust how much damage his range weapon does. It is a Bolter not a pea shooter, it fires micro-rockets. Those traitor guard should be exploding from at least two hits. Now against a Chaos Marine I can see why it would just stun him and you have to enter melee.

Other than that I hope the enemies will stand around less.

It looked awesome except for the fact that it seemed, how do I say? BORING! I guess there will be much more to it come release considering it is only in Alpha. The environment looked great, like a GoW rip-off really. I agree that the enemies should be exploding and what not at a more frequent rate.

LOL that vid voice guy lies.
He mentions about it being the first up in your face Warhammer 40k game, not an rts or rpg.
Hes blind or ignorant because Warhammer 40k Fire Warrior (although not the best FPS) gets you in the middle of it.

Heh goes to show they will sell you any old line to get you interested in their product.

Both he and the enemies were standing around way too much

Alpha. Once you've actually been involved with an alpha stage of game development, you realize how bare-bones your game really is.

We're just past Alpha at school. Very low visibility, basic ship movements, no sound (Made me sad face) and no enemies or other characters on screen.

I fail to see how its like GoW. GoW has a "move through cover" FPS style gameplay. This seems to have a "screw cover I'm near god-like" third person melee gameplay with shooting on the backburner. Just because he has a chainsword doesn't mean it's cloning GoW. That's the same thing as saying WAR is cloning WoW because they have orcs and elves.

It looks a bit like the game Apocalyps. Which was, uhm, not very good. Never played GoW though, might as well pick up a copy since they're not that expensive anymore.

I know but if you're showing a video of it they could atleast make it a bit more exciting. And if the whole combat system is going to be shoot someone until you get close enough to cut them up in a cinimaction moment its going to get very repetitive, a lot like Assassins Creed.

Looks pretty damn good for an Alpha version. Looks really polished and what not. Will probably pick it up when it comes out.

I dont know about you Zarash, I am no expert as far as game development, but that still looked exciting to me, considering its alpha. You keep comparing it to finished game products, and you really need to tone is down a notch. Im not trying to harass you about it, more I am trying to feed you some intel.

In the WH40k universe, as far as the table top, and other games in the past. That is all they did do, was either shoot an enemy, or engage in close combat. But I supose EVERY SINGLE GAME DOES THAT AS WELL, im some form or another. But for it being alpha, and it looking that great already, on top of a very bloody game style. I am sure the game will not be focusing on replay value, as much as it is fun as hell just to run around taking a chainsaw to the back of a Chaos Cultists head.

Im rambling now and its going on 4:30 am, sigh.... cant sleep, well im done for now. Game looks sweet so far though.

Yea Im just saying that it sounds a lot like the Assassins Creed thing with all the cutscene type things and the close combat being the main focus
