    Since the GPU race has slowed down quite a bit (and Nvidia rehashing their cards over and over ad nauseum), you can get high-end cards pretty cheapily.

    $100 or less cheap? I was stupid and bought two 6800s for 500 each won't be making that mistake again I think a 9800 would be able to last atleast a couple to 3 years.

    you could buy a up-to-date card, ati 48xx or nvidia's gtx series.
