1. Character Name, Class, and Main Spec: Vandahl, Priest, Shadow

2. Armory Link: (explain talent choices here in needed): http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Sargeras&n=Vandahl

3. List raid helpful professions: Jewelcrafting, My second profession is undecided. I am considering Enchanting, however.

4. Time playing WoW and PvE progression: I've been playing since the start of BC. Through that time I progessed through every content available on my paladin, Scolan. The only raid I didn't finish was Sunwell. In WoTLK I have progressed through much of everything, I don't have many hardmodes done but I am looking to do hardmodes since that's all I have left to progress into.

5. PvP influences and impact on raiding: I don't PvP much, if you do catch me PvPing however it's only for fun.

6. Age (18 is required with limited exceptions): 18

7. Occupation and living arrangements that impact raiding(family, classes, dorm, night shifts etc): I work at Del Taco and normally the hours they give me doesn't cut into my play schedule. My schedule is random but I can make most of the raids. I try to notify people when I'm not gonna be able to make it in 3-5 days in advance. I am starting College next semester hopefully, I will be taking morning classes.

8. Guild you are leaving and why: (If you join another guild without following up here, application will be closed): I was in Highly Exclusive that I led with a few of my close friends. Only a few of us had the skill but the lack of skill all around was holding the guild back.

9. How did you hear about us? List any friends/references within the guild: Gorzz brought the guild to my attention.

10. List consumables you bring to raid: I always have Fish feasts and I also carry 5 Flask of the Frostwyrm too. For bloodlust I usually use one of my Potion of Wild Magic. I carry 60 of those to a raid.

11. Additional Scheduling conflicts (consider possible weekend groups for 10mans): Nothing else really cuts into my schedule.

12. Provide measure of your damage/healing such as Recount (Screenshot to include player breakdown of attack %'s), WoW Web Stats (WWS), or World of Logs listing: I'm not saved to any raids this week so I'll do one real quick and post it up

13. Provide a UI screenshot from raid combat: I'm not saved to any raids this week so I'll do one real quick and post it up

14. Final comments you feel could help your application: Not that I know of :p

Either Tailoring or Enchanting, they are both fairly easy professions to level.

Tailoring is definitely the better profession for PvE (lightweave embroidery ftw).

Some questions for you:

1. We currently raid with 1-2 shadow and 1-2 holy priests, depending on the encounter and healer composition. Is this a problem for you?
2. Boss kills and loot items. Which, if either, is the means and which is the end?
3. With 3.3 around the corner, have you considered race changing to troll?
4. Do you plan on re-gearing/gemming/etc your character for 3.3? If so, how?
5. You have 2/2 Veiled Shadows and 0/2 Improved Vampiric Embrace. Have you considered switching these? What do you consider to be the advantages and disadvantages of this tradeoff?
6. You're in a fight with moderate aoe damage to the raid. Vampiric Touch ends in 3 seconds. Mind Blast and Devouring Plague are off cooldown in 1.5 seconds. Shadow Word: Death is available. You have just finished casting Mind Flay. There are 3 people in the raid with magic debuffs on them and 2 arcane mages who don't have PW:S or weakened soul. What do you do? How might you react differently if 2 healers just died and the boss is at 10%?

Alright well first off I'm gonna say that I'll pick up Tailoring asap. :p

And r3d3 to answer some of your questions...
1) No, this doesn't bother me at all.
2) In some cases Loot items are needed for Boss Kills. They're even in my eyes. But if it came down to choosing one? I'd go with the Boss Kills.
3) I'm not a rich man, my family isn't so well off either. I haven't decided to race change at all.
4)3.3 Haste is now cumulative with DoT duration and tick speed. I read on my class 2-3 times a week on shadowpriest.com. If I see any thing that sparks interest I will test it out. As of now.. I do have a few pieces of gear set aside for 3.3.
5) I never use VE unless I'm on certain encounters (Twin Valks, Anub, General Vezax), overall it might make things a bit easier but I use shadowfiend all the time and fade. I normally use shadowfiend + Potion of Wild Magic combo during Lust and on longer fights I use the fiend whenever it's up. I'm going to be honest, Imp VE hasn't crossed my mind too much. The tradeoff would be less damage overall in longer fights but it would help the healers in a more healing intensive fight. I could set up my offspec to be that tradeoff however.
6) In that situation I wouldn't use SW:D, I would toss out a Dispell or 2. I have been in may situations where I stopped DPSing to help stabilize the raid. I'm not a machine, when I see trouble I'll try to fix it.

Thanks for the response. Other than the lack of a damage meter report or screenshot, this app looks good to me.

There is one thing, though: as we are starting to work on Anub heroic, we need all our spriests to have improved VE, even if you decide to take the points from somewhere else, like Shadow Reach or Focused Mind.

The reason I asked about it was that with improved VE and ~5000 dps, you're healing everyone in your group for about 250 hps (and yourself for ~1500). This is the minimum amount of damage that Leeching Swarm does, and therefore makes for very low maintenance healing on groups with shadowpriests on that fight. On fights like Anub and Val'kyr twins, your healing can be upwards of 2500 hps with improved VE. This is significant and helps the healers out immensely. Shadowfiend, OTOH, does maybe 15k damage, which is about the same or less than VT or DP. It's decent DPET, but having it available every 3 minutes instead of every 5 will only allow you to use it maybe 1 extra time in a fight. You could probably just get an extra mind blast + SW:D into that GCD you used.

How quickly can you level up Tailoring?

I can get tailoring up real fast, Gorzz is helping me out with tailoring. Also, I understand I have a lack of screenshots lol.. I haven't done any raids yet this week but I'll get some screenshots up asap. If it helps I got Gorzz who can vouch for me until I get some hard proof :p

Also to r3d3, I can respec for Anub, it's no problem.. I understand that changes have to be made for progression so its not a problem at all.

As stated, we currently have a number of priests with DS, so raid spots are limited. If you are ok with that, then you are accepted for probation. Also, please max your tailoring ASAP.

Whisper an officer in game when you are ready.
