V

I finally got into watching this show after hoarding all the episodes from last season and most of season 2. I am 4 episodes in and it's not all that bad so far. A little predictable and the role isn't too unfamiliar for Monica Baccarin, it reminds a little of her role in Firefly. Although, she is far from a prostitute in this. It was also nice that they didn't draw out the introduction of the visitors and got right into it.

If you like scifi and haven't looked at this yet it may be worth a look.

 

The most famous and horrifying scene back in the day..... everyone was talking about this after it aired. Been waiting so long for the remake and I must say it doesnt disappoint.

 

I haven't seen the original V, but I did see V 2009, and really liked it. The thing is, it ended in a cliffhanger with 12 episodes in the season. They might have planned to make more, but I didn't see anything.

 

They did make more, it was going to be cut, but at least 2 more seasons, but the original owns, at least for its time.

 

the new series is pretty good ... just enough to keep me entertained and enough sci fi in it too keep me interested

I had no idea that it was remake! I should do some searching and check it out if I can find it.

I'm partway through season 2 now and really enjoying it. I really hope there ends up being a 3rd season but from the ratings for 2 that looks doubtful. They're really getting into the reasons the Vs are there now which is nice. The show is moving at a nice pace not stalling on anything for too long. Only 8 more episodes though and I'll be wanting more

 

yeah i reaaaalllllly hope there is another season ... i enjoyed the first 2 way to much ... finally a tv show that i actually like on this crap they call tv these days

 

I dunno this series is bordering on the fail chasm if you ask me ...

We have to go through 2 seasons before seeing a laser gun? They drive motherships but kill people with sharp silver sticks? come on ?

The only saving grace was the last scene from the season finally introducing Marc Singer as the leader of some multi-gov anti-V super agency.

my one gripe..with this and any sci fi where the aliens just happen to be able to look like humans.

save much on special effects ya cheap bastards?
