So fun story. I had a return from an Amazon.com purchase.- defective mouse, f'in thermaltake... whatever. Anyway, I go to the UPS store with the box, the printed label, and everything in good order. They charged me a dollar to tape the box up... I raged so hard. I went to bed pissed, and I woke up and I am still pissed. I think I need a shrink.
Those bastards. A whole f*n dollar? Really? That could've bought you...wut? 4 packs of ramen noodles or 24 hours of trial porn. Yeesh. Gave up dinner and a show there man..
F off, thats just bad customer service. I dont care how much it was, its the principle of the matter. Even the girl charging me felt guilty about it. Terrible policy.
No its business, do it for 1 do it for 1000 x how many locals. That's an expense. I remember when water was free? After a run now ask for a cup of water some place its often 25cents. It's a different time.
hey hey hey! Let me rant, damn it! And dont throw your "times are-a changin'" logic at me! I had a rough day! ....Im sorry, maybe I am on the wrong side of this argument. I have serious anger management issues, I'm beginning to find. Oh well lol
Hays needs a hug. I do agree though. A friggin' dollar for a strip or two of tape is pretty ridiculous to me. Business is business, and times may be changin', but it doesn't mean I have to like it.
After Christmas, Schotzie and I went to the UPS Store to ship some gifts we received back home so we didn't have to take them on the plane with us. After we purchased the box, bubble wrap and tape, they told us that we couldn't pack the boxes in the store and we would have to do it outside. They would pack the boxes for us at $14 each. We said, "Screw that", and went to USPS instead. They let us pack everything there When I have gone to an actual UPS location, I have never had an issue. The UPS Store is only loosely associated with UPS, I guess. I try not to patronize them if there are alternatives available.
Its true, but its also unfair. Out of principle I would kick up a fuss. I do believe there is a piece of legislation that states if you are serving food or alcohol you must provide TAP water if requested free of charge. I do believe that it is also against that piece of legislation to deny anyone who has a legitimate request for water. This is in the EU at least. (can't find the actual legislation though, will edit if I find it) *shrug*
There is something similar for public gathering places in most states here in the US. Private establishments can generally do what they want.
You could always occupy UPS, that whole movement really garnared up quite a bit of repsect from the rest of the country ..... (end sarcasm)
