Ok, here is my in review on the game. THey made a lot of changes from 2009, most of which for the better. The standup fighting mode is much improved over its predecessor, and is a lot more fluid. They allowed you to do things which you couldn't in the previous one, like pinning them against the cage. The carreer mode was changed a lot, however some of it is a bit excessive. They made it so you could pick the moves you learn at camps and such, which is very nice in customizing yout fighter. They also added in 'conditioning', which gives you a reason not to simply rest for the 2 weeks before your fights, as well as a fight strategy option (1 week is devoted to working out your game plan and gives a bonus to what you chose; short fight increases speed and strength while decreasing cardio, increases offenses and decreases defenses etc). They made stats decay if you ignore them for too long, which is nice in theory but it takes too much micromanaging to get it all in while still learning new stuff. They added a lot of fighters. This is good. There is one thing where they pretty much shit the bed though; submissions. They made them far too easy to initiate without enough penalty, and submission defense is stupid. Instead of mashing buttons to see who wins, you rotate the joystick. This never works against computers. They will be completely gassed and you won't be, they submit you and you're done in 1.5 seconds flat. Even on lower difficulties. Overall, the game is fine, but I avoid the submission stuff because its stupid, so it gets repetitive. 3/5. I haven't played the online portion, but it is still a fun game to play with a group of people.
