Trojan attacks...

Discussion in 'Tech Talk' started by Brownmccoy, Feb 16, 2009.

  1. I am being constantly bombarded by trojans now. 5 are constantly attacking me.

The name of the file (that i was given) was Fxoxlsvc.dll

    the description is
    trojan horse generic 12.BPXT
    trojan horse generic 12.BIDV

I have used AVG and Bullguard to try to eliminate them and they are still coming in full force. My computer locks up every 15 seconds or so for a minute or two. Please help.

  2. Darn that sucks. Reinstall windows is the sure fire way... Maybe someone with even greater tech knowledge than me can help you.

are they all of the "trojan horse generic 12" series? If so, i just did a search about them and found (oddly enough.. on bullguard's site)

a couple of people in the thread about it claim that that worked for them, so give it a try if you want.

  4. I live by malware bytes anti malware and super anti spyware.

Whenever I had issues with trojans or what not they would always get rid of them.

  5. downloading questionable material again I see...

Malware bytes is usually good if a combination of Symantec and Spybot doesn't take care of it.

  7. The bullguard full scan did end up getting rid of 4/5. The other is being a persistant bastard.

I send them a log of the scan, and the file is under
    c:\windows\system32\vtVkjGVm.dll

They told me to go in safe mode and delete it, it didnt work, and I'm now waiting on a response from them. However, if anyone happens to know anything about this file, please let me know.

Sorry this may be a silly question. When you went into safe mode and deleted it did you disable your system restore before hand!
