Apparently comcast wanted to see what happens when you shut off multiple states Internet access all at once.
Verizon is done expanding Fios, if you don't have it you're not going to get it. It costs them over 5k per subscriber to run the lines. As for Comcast, I've never had a problem before and the 50mb pipe is the best anyone around here offers.
I have comcast. I've been having my connection go down every 5 mins on the dot. I've reset the modem and it works fine now but that doesn't change the fact that comcast sucks.
expanding to a new market and adding to exsisting aren't the same thing. I know for every market we launch it costs around 750m - 1.2b, and we don't have nearly as much fiber as fios.
Yes I have and I have exchanged several modems with the company. I was not the only on in my area having issues. Most of the city here was having these issues for the better part of last friday.
Just hope Google gets things moving finally and expands their plans, then we will each be able to get 100mb+ for everyone I think Google internet is currently only in Seatle, or at least that was the plan last year.
Standford was their test market last I heard. There is a company in Tennessee, Chattanooga specifically, that is offering 100+ to the door. I believe the service is $300+ a month, but you have 99.9% guaranteed up time. Perfect for any DIY SBA.
