Did anyone watch the opening ceremony? I loved Canada's uniforms. <3

But USA will still rock the house.

Can't even remember what Canada were wearing. That wasn't exactly the most memorable part of the opening ceremony. ;)

So far China are, unsurprisingly, leading on the scoreboard.

  4. I'm boycotting it!

Not that I ever watched it before... but at least now my ignorance has a purpose!

Diving and track are my favourite parts - neither of which Canada is that great in. I don't really watch the olympics for the "best country" though. I think it's just so cool to see how people have pushed their bodies to the extreme and have accomplished crazy-ass things. I mean... covering 100m in 8-9 seconds?! Jumping off a platform way up high, and do precision flips and twists mid-air until they hit the water? Or the muscle it takes for some of the gymnastics routines... just so cool.

I am sorry but you cannot .. cannot ... use the adjective "badass" to describe a member of any swim team ....

  14. Thats what that was?

I thought it was america's top 200 commercials every 3 minutes with commercial breaks of some event in china....

There were way too many commericals in it and to make it worse they were recorded over the live feed so it was as if the whole show was live but it wasnt.

I watched about half of it. There was some cool shit that they did. Amazing choreography. Also felt the lead pyrotech guy had too much time on his hands. That pretty much sums it up.

As for the olympics themselves i watched part of a volleyball match that USA was in. They really needed to get their act together with the one guy constantly spiking shit into the net.

dude Phelps has abs of steel. he could probably beat up the man of steel himself, but since superman isn't real, Phelphs wins by forfeit.
