Amazing documentary on lion life. I've watched a lot of documentaries on big cats but this one will be remembered above all others. On top of a remarkable story this film has some fascinating scenes and cinematography. It's raw and it's real, with that comes violence and death but that's not to say this film is not incredibly rewarding. All in all, absolute must watch in my opinion. (I wouldn't read comments past the top rated because of spoilers.)
I guess you could say that. I've always enjoyed documentaries on all animals though. This was just special enough to share and try and get more people to check it out. Although the documentary is not about the preservation of Lions it does mention how you can help and it just hits home that there will be a time when there are no more wild lions. This doc proves that they are a amazing creature worth watching and admiring. Even now, days later, I'm still thinking of this flick.
woah what a trip doc, I was just gunna post that video in here. Someone posted it on Rogan forums and I just had this vision of what would happen without the glass. I just played out this sick scenario where he bites her head off and flings her 10 feet and then plays with her body like a toy mouse. Not that I want that to happen but thats what I got a vision of.
You can almost feel the pain in that lions eyes being surrounded by people like that and not having any ability to act on your own natural instincts of defense and survival. I honestly felt bad for the lion.
Yeah same, I really don't even like Zoo's because I can't stop thinking the animals are just caged up prisoners, its pretty depressing. I support the very open cat rescue set ups but this big cats in cages is tough to watch.
Imagine its pitch black out in the African wilderness and this dude starts roaring in your vicinity. hah. They say these big cats roar can debilitate and even paralyze prey, makes fuckin sense. I know I would be perfectly still. Being hunted by a lion you could not see is up there with stranded in the middle of the ocean.
