Well it's Friday and my office is half empty and for some strange reason I have even less motivation to be productive than normal... anyone else in this situation? I know I can't be the only one.

Friday is when I turn on the radio and general tomfoolery occurs.

dunno if you guys are familiar, but if you're looking for something to read, try www.thedailywtf.com - a brief diversion for me because I keep up to date with it, but very entertaining, even if you don't know much/anything about the software development industry.

also try sinking your teeth into my favorite web comic, dinosaur comics: www.qwantz.com ... massive archives, very bizarre at times, but once you get into the humor style it really becomes addictive XD

sounds like a bit of a wait... I'm consoling myself with the fact that it's Friday and sitting here bored is at least better than having some deadline or a stack of reports to deal with

  9. ME TOO!! Plus my boss is out on Fridays AND I have my own office so I can do whatever I want....unless the phone rings. >.<

<.< >.> Well tbh I do have a deadline, kinda...and a stack of docs. to deal with....but to hell with them! I'ma suffin' da net.

edit: I just spent 5 minutes watching the trampoline bouncing elephant in Dash's avatar. Captivating.

    Anthropomorphized dinosaurs... kick ass.

I feel your pain Li. I can sit here, do some half ass work, and keep to myself until that phone rings... then someone actually wants me to be useful. rawr.

I don't know if "bored" is the right word...but I've kind of hit the point where almost everything that can go wrong has gone wrong so I'm past the point of being stressed and I've entered the land of "I don't care so much that it's all funny to me now".

Short version, long story, 3 entirely separate computer systems broke, which impacted hundreds of orders, and there's a big mess of paperwork that we have to clean up. Our clients are unhappy, and understandably so. They want answers. At this time, we have none. And I am the one answering all the e-mail and phone call complaints and I just want to say, "Yes, we know, it's broken! We don't know how or why! We don't know when it's going to get fixed, either! HAHAHAHAHAHAA!"

At least we're still able to get the orders and process them and send them the correct items, but the paperwork attached to the orders is basically FUBAR. So it's kind of like...shipping a package to a big company, and you send it to the right company but the recipient's name isn't there. So the admins are calling us like, "Um, who is this for?" :p

  13. Im watching the complier in visual studio 2008 tick by and its like watchin grass grow it's so fuckin slow. hence why im here. The fun thing is I get to watch this more since MS pulled the plug on xp...

Upgrading projects to VS2008 is a bitch and a half

Anyway, the other half of it is that im bored out of my mind too and I pretty much have the office to myself

I'm at school doing an exam right now. Waiting on the teacher is bullshit. I'm expected to do shit I was never taught. Awesome!

I'm doing auditing that resembles fifth grade math... not quite using all of my brainpower. Although I'll take it over downed computer systems or exams... bleh
